We had the lowest attendances out of all the teams according to this.

Bit of shame really to see it's the lowest out of all those teams.

BBC News - Premier League, Scottish Premier League, Football League & European fans' table

Pfft nevermind worst attendances in the league we have a lower average attendance than 12 teams in the conference and even lower than Chester in the Blue Square North!

So what's new? Read any history of the club and its 'crowds'.
It's the proportion of the gate to the 'town' population that is statistically more relevant but what would be a news story would be if Stanley weren't bottom of this particular list.

Re: We had the lowest attendances out of all the teams according to this.

Some observations from the dark side:-
1. Mrs RD just offered the view that it made her feel a bit sad- especially as we are bottom in each of the four tables!.
2. I told her to look at each of the tables to see who were top-Barcelona or Borussia Dortmund!!!!- in the not too distant past they were looking at attendance rankings that had teams like Barrow or even Great Harwood Town at the top!!
3. As a teacher of psychology I recommend that you all click each column heading before reading- so that Stanley are top in each column/( league) and Barca, Dortmund, Man U, Real (or 'unreal' depending on your perspective) etc ('that lot' as we call them here) at the bottom.

Now see these tables in a new way.

In each case we are top of each 'league'- in terms of punching way above our weight!

Now I implore you all- FEEL THE PRIDE! Exult in it.

Is that not a better feeling?

:D:D:D:D

No surprise

As fans we can try to encourage others to attend & as a Club have to reach out even further.

Says that not quite knowing how to exult....nor having known the joys which sheer exultation can bring to a callow youth, It is most unlikely that he will be able to share in the Forum's experiencing of 'better feelings' !...but nevertheless he will try his level best to heed the advice of The Red Darreners !..
( although he hasn't the slightest interest in Attendance figures !... says that just watching the Reds in THE Football League is all that really matters after all !)

I suppose that makes Fleetwood (average gate - 2,855, population - approx 27,000) quite a news story then!

Fleetwood have no competition though theres only Blackpool about 8 mile away, n sod all else, plus they got a geezer chucking wedge at em.that must help draw crowds, look at rovers gates when uncle jack was at it.;)

It certainly does but not one that a media obsessed with celebrity tattoos and tweets is ever likely to notice.

That's life, but at least Stanley survived. By the way what do Stanley charge for entry compared with options within 30 minutes drive ??

But the prize for the biggest percentage fall in attendance goes to Chesterfield. Closely followed by the chicken farmers.
