He said he was pleased that Beattie has the manager's job, having got on well with him. Beattie had spoken with him at the time of his appointment to say that he would like Jeffers to stay next season and Jeffers would be pleased to stay. If not with Stanley then he would pursue his career elsewhere as he still has "plenty in the tank".

Cheers Redraine - lets hope Stanley can satisfy the implied 'if' in the "would" . Thought my fingernails might have a chance to recover during close season, but anxiety to largely keep the squad together for an exciting 2013/14 is not helping. Come on lads, start autographing those Stanley contracts to allow Beatts to hit the ground running.

If only we could sign up Jeffers, Molyneaux and Aldred I would be a happy bunny, but maybe that's too much to hope for. Then a big, commanding goalie wouldn't go amiss too, plus a big, mobile target man and then we are getting somewhere! Scrub that last bit if Carver is given his head from the off and fulfils the promise I always thought he has.

Being marooned down south I've not seen Linganzi play but if he has the brain of that Brazilian midfield magician Gorgonzolla, we must sign him up :D
Agree with your and Cashy's assessment + Rommy of course

Oh yes! He disappeared into yet another hole in my brain. Chesterfield fans haven't given up hope of signing him.
Linganzi has made all our "bigger club" opponents' fans green with envy this season. They think it will be no problem to prise him away to so-called greener pastures!
