Liddle out for "a few weeks" and Webber and Joyce injury doubts for this game.

Dan Jewell via Twitter.

Anyone fancy playing up front?

I notice the Snake has just been announced "Manager of the Month"........

Let's hope the "accolade" has it's usual desired effect and the boys in red give him a good idea where to stuff his award!!:eek:

Frightening how many players could be sidelined for tomorrow's game. See https://twitter.com/danjewellmedia/s...19495837011968

Best team I could muster was:

Bettinelli
Murphy Aldred Atkinson
Clark Miller Richardson Hatfield Mingoia
Naismith
McCartan

Tried not to put in Mahoney. As much I think he's a fantastic talent and a breath of fresh air I believe a start against the likes of Chesterfield would be too much pressure for the lad.

Will he have anyone on the bench Wilson (GK) several youth team players. Wonder if the FA would have allowed a cancellation due to the number of injuries?

Not looking too Rosy Tommy ?.. ( Even through my Red-coloured spectacles !)....but should our Goalkeeper and Back 3 ( or 4 or ?) put in the shift which they appear to be capable of, then a point is possible... ( Just polishing up THE glasses !)...and then a goal nicked in the 90th minute to take all three would do very nicely !!.
Can't be there unfortunately, but our Manager and his team carry my hopes and best wishes to Chesterfield tomorrow.

ps Just don't try the Chicken Balti Pies....you never know who's COOKed 'em !.

The coaches are not useless. It's a crying shame that Accrington & District can't fill the minimum number of fans for a coach to run to an away game.

They are. Trains are much better. Nobody wants to sit on a bus and hear about what pies people want at half time. Buses are boring lol

This is clearly someone who never rode Loweiy's lucky fun bus with drunk Frank driving the hills of Harrogate.

Whats that some sort of gay pride event? Lucky fun bus sounds abit suspect lol

Looking forward to the match tomorrow chaps. Just been reading James Beattie's interview, he seems optimistic.
The one thing that puzzles me is that how come your owners went for an inexperienced manager in Beattie when John Coleman is out of work. He seemed like a perfect fit for your club.

Right oh. So why so much animosity against Cooky? Was there any anger directed at Coleman?

Radio Sheffield guy was talking tonight as though Chesterfield only have to turn up.

You show them Accy and finish off the good account you gave there last year!

'Cos Cooky promised the world, jumped ship when it all went wrong leaving it to his assistant to step up and drag us out of the clarts, then persuaded said assistant to jump ship too ....... enough?

We understood why JC wanted to try his hand with a club with a few more resources. And we were truly grateful for what he achieved over his time with us. But there's a feeling (amongst some of us) that going back wouldn't work - others disagree!

The animosity my friend fer snake is simply cos he was full of crap n only stayed part of the season. No anger was directed at Coleman n Bell, in fact most people wished em well. My own personal view is to go forward, yeh should never go back.;) some agree wi that, some don't. thats life.:alright:

And one who chooses to scoff at stalwart Stanley fans who take some comfort from discussing the relative merits of the cuisine offered at stadia found in League 2.
Tommy McQueen and I have often mentioned the varying contents of Pies in particular in past threads...indeed I think that we once had an entire thread devoted to the subject !...and yes, if StanUltra has ever sat in close proximity to the two of us on a coach heading to an away game, he would have noted a cheeky mention or two regarding Pies in general...and no doubt found it extremely boring !....but Heigh-ho , that's life I'm afraid Stan !.
( ps... If I remember rightly Chesterfield's £3.00 a time assorted Pies are not up to much..BUT the Chippy adjacent to the ground do a tasty and satisfying Meat and Potato for a couple of quid . ...there I go again ,,,boring isn't it !!).

Take no notice of radio Sheffield. I'm surprised they even managed to say our name correctly because they only usually talk about the blunts or the bowels. For what it's worth, we are keeping possession really well and playing a really skilfull passing type of game. We wear teams down before finishing them off. To underestimate any team would be disrespectful to them and regardless of what you all think of Cook he will never be disrespectful of your team or club.

Just bear in mind fer future reference mate, whether it sheds its skin or not, A snake is a snake.;) I think in fact he will probably take yeh up, in fact hope he will. But i have no doubt he will do the same to you lads,if summat better beckons.;)

I believe he would but we had to experience that feeling years ago when we had a manager called Nicky Law. He guided us to promotion when we had the fiasco of the unscrupulous owner then jumped ship to Bradford City when we were being punished for what they did.
It's life pal, I don't like it anymore than you but you just have to be grateful for what you had when they were there instead of holding grudges.
Nicky law now manages Alfreton Town in the BSP. As long as we keep going on the up & up I don't give two rats backsides as to who takes us there.

Sorry, but Mr. Cook has already been disrespectful of our club in the way that he jumped ship the second things started going a little awry despite the fact that Stanley gave him his chance to step back into English football management - a job which he engineered his way into by promising the earth & professing his love for our club - he is nothing but a very good actor who will turn on the charm to suit his aims & ambitions. Yes, he's given you a good start to the season but woe-betide you if by some twist of fate your finances start to be depleted because if that happens I guarantee you won't see him for dust!
