400+ games, and an International (ok, only one cap, but that's one more than I've got!)

And built like a brick outhouse to boot ..............

Jings, give the guy a break; he hasn't even put his boots on yet! You make Dav007 seem like a naïve optimist!

Pessimist or realist??? Just quoting stats.

Not saying he won't be a good player for us who could be great, but a goal scorer he ain't & that's what we're crying out for.

Someone to stick it in the back of the net.

Way i see it is hes a big striker who can score n provide goals, That will do fer me, How many teams can yeh reel off, thats got a "Prolific" goalscorer? certainly i dont know in any of the poorer clubs.

Not many with a prolific striker that is true. But if 1 in 6 equates to 6 goals this season. Murph will get us that.

Murph will, but we got no-one who can actually win the ball in the box,am thinking this is the guy.:)

its not necessarily the amount of goals he scores himself, its the set up play for others that's important. If Webber and Naismith can use him as a foil to get 15 goals a piece then he's done his job in my opinion.

Exactly me point.;)

kayode will be a threat bringing a lot of other players into play in the last third of the field, now move Naismith back onto the right for him to cut in and have a pop, positive signing for the shape of the team

Re: Loan signing no 1

Well said Sparkie.

Looks like we've got a centre forward who is a presence in the box rather than a striker who has the knack to get on the end of the chance.

Seems yeh can snare his shirt at end of season,it says on fishy. As hes on a 3 months loan, does that mean were likely to be keeping the lad?

Maybe - but at least if he does go back at the end of 3 months you'd probably stand more chance of actually getting the shirt as the season would still be in full swing & you could pester for it at every home game

Seems that this is the guy who JB tried to sign permanently just before the window closed .......... didn't happen, as I read it, because too much else going on at home club (ie Millers). If JB wanted him permanently, and it was only time that fustrated the deal, I'd imagine - come January - that we'll look to get him full-time. :)

Really pleased at this; we've not had a "proper Nat Lofthouse" for ages; Webber, Naismith and Mahoney (and won't he learn a lot!) playing off him? League One here we come ............ :D:D:D

You heard it here first! :o

Odejayi is a great signing, just the type of player we need right now. I bet he'll score on saturday, and then stanley will go on to win our first league game.
