Tried to stay out of this debate, but can't agree with you Cashy. JC is one of the best results/playing budget managers around,as you say "simple".
He tried his luck at league one level, but it didn't work out,for the same reasons as JB is finding (changing things too quickly).
He has a great knowledge of the game, but he rubbed a lot of people up the wrong way, which fuelled Stanley's success(no one liked playing at the crown ground)
By your comments regarding his interview, you are not fully aware of the facts (which are not for a forum debate).
Saying that,I am fully behind JB,but totally against JCs critisisum,he for me represented everything what Stanley are about,ie; us v everyone else.
PS - was with the scouting fraternity at Wigan today, and we would give both teams a game !!!

A JC team wouldn't have such a low goal effort ratio as the current team, that's pretty much a certainty. It's impressive to talk about the newly instilled 'professionalism', but for a tinpot outfit like Stanley, professionalism and fair play are the last thing required for survival. We really need someone who knows all the 'tricks'. Someone who can duck and dive. Someone who you'd hate if you were an opposition fan, but secretly envy and wish they were working for your club. There's only one man for this job, and Davo is quite right.

I don't feel any disrespect for the current manager. He seems a decent and honest human being, who's not ready for a unique situation like that at Accrington. Nobody can blame him for that. The real mistake, in my opinion, was made at the end of last season by people who are not blameless.

I have to strongly disagree,we get little enough gates now n i'm aware of quite a few who would not re-new if he returned.:(

I honestly wasn't suggesting you were being smug about our current position. Just the fact that your team is finding a way of playing on which Podge is seemingly thriving.

I was berated for suggesting this when JB was appointed. I've still got the tin hat somewhere, I'll give you a lend.

Back when JC was appointed we had people at the club who knew non-league football inside out. Notwithstanding hearts being in the right place, I'm not convinced anyone on our current board knows football at all.

The gates wont change until we start getting better results, the trend is down, but its not exactly falling off a cliff

2006/7 - 2260
2007/8 - 1633
2008/9 - 1415
2009/10 - 1980
2010/11 - 1867
2011/12 - 1784
2012/13 - 1674
2013/14 - 1777

If JC is the man to turn us around then so be it, you support the club whoever is the manager ;)

You might, i certainly did not when those charged wi betting were still selected, i went up thorneyholme rd n watched the cricket, That was the point J.C. went down in my estimation, so then i took the trouble to do a bit of digging.

Rubbish.
I know of lots of people who would return if Coley was put back in charge.
And do you really expect the crowds to come flooding back when we have 2 shots per game and are sitting adrift bottom of the league?

Your comments on this board are representative of a bloke who picks holes in everything but never offers any solutions.
Or have I got that wrong as well?
