Lancashire Cup

Not seen it mentioned anywhere. Stanley away to Bury in 1st Round. Only reason I noticed is because Burnley have entered this year :)

Date time and venue all at Bury's request.

The home team have the right to "call the shots"

Coley is second favourite for the Forest Green job!

DAV007 01-11-2013 16:49

Re: Lancashire Cup

Forest green would be a good move or him (although he would struggle to commute it).

A club who's owner has backed successive managers and loses around £800,000 a year trying to get into the football league.

Coley would make their dream a reality.

Ah...yes....you mean the same as he did for Rochdale?

DAV007 02-11-2013 18:31

Re: Lancashire Cup

different circumstances.

Rochdale he took over a team who where in the relegation zone and they stayed in the relegation zone.

but don't let facts spoil a good fantasy

Re: Lancashire Cup

Fact brought the team that far down they were under the gutter.....not in it ......fact....big gambling and drinking culture in a lot of the team developed......very professional........

Re: Lancashire Cup

FACT he had the most successful team for 50 years (and arguably ever) regardless of the drinking culture
FACT there was far more of a 'togetherness' under Coley. Since he left, the club and the fans appear to be separate entities (although all around the same time we lost many of the faces that got us so far)

Brought the team that far down that they made the League 1 playoffs on a Conference North budget ..... may not be the total miracle worker DAV paints him as, but did pretty dam well from where I'm looking.

There was ample funding at Rochdale, nothing like a Conference North budget.

This is about Rochdale not Accrington

Re: Lancashire Cup

My mistake (and Macca's). But as this is a Stanley forum, and the thread is about a Lancs Cup game against Bury, an easy one to make. Why are you and Dav arguing about JC's performance at Rochdale on here?

DAV007 03-11-2013 15:32

Re: Lancashire Cup

Im not Chimer, but chubbyman cant help himself.
He is obsessed with JC!
He needs to get behind the team whoever the manager is.
Stanley are bigger than any 1 manager.
Come on chubbyman, give Beattie some support.

You are a queer little;I've done nothing but support JB none stop.i predicted a top 7 finish before the season and I stand by that !!

If we finish 7th with Beattie as manager this season, I will take you for a drink and pay for your ale all night.
And if you don't drink, I will take you for a curry.

Alternativly, if we fluke our way into 20th place or below, I want you to buy yourself a shirt from the Barrow club shop with DAV007 on the back and wear it to the first home game.

deal?

Deal.....but the shirt will say DAV007 is a ----! Not sure of the last word yet but I've got to the end of the season to think of something !!!

I'm being stupid I won't have to wear the shirt as you won't win the bet!!!
