'dont quit your day job James'

Our boss is doing the commentary on Barnet vs Wrexham on BT Sports 1.
Don't think he is cut out for commentary, to dull.

I wonder who he is scouting?
Not like he needs the money to go on tv.

Doesn't he do this regularly Dave??? :)

He did the Hyde vs Grimsby game.
Presume he must have stayed over in London last night.

There are some good players on display today.

I wonder if Dave rates JC commentary on radio Lancs as better haha

Confused by the title of this thread, given the person who started it ...... I thought that's exactly what you wanted James to do?

Exactly.

He improved in the 2nd half.

1st half he was no different to Mark Lawrence, Mark Bright and the rest of the army of BBC commentators who do nothing more than agree with the lead commentator.

2nd half he seemed to give his opinion a bit more instead of the text book answers.

There where 2 good teams on display today with lots of ex league players plus a few youngsters with potential.
Wouldn't mind a few of them playing for us (even Jay Harris would be a better option in central midfield than Murphy and Joyce - never thought I would say that!), I still feel we are short.

I sponsored Jay Harris's shirt when he was here but threw it away after the betting furore. I would swallow my principles and have him back like a shot now though! Hypocrite, moi?

Sitting on the fence and agreeing with everything the lead commentator asks.
Like Mark Lawrence!

Thanks for that, smobile. Somehow, I just knew I should have spelt it out for poor DAV007.

Maybe what I should have written was : FACT - Mark Lawrenson

Some people are so pedantic. We all knew who you meant.

IMHO the manager should still be playing, his quality could be the difference if we can put a run of clean sheets together.

Agree IF his legs are still up to it.
There is nobody who knows that better than the man himself, I am sure given the current predicament if Beattie felt his presence on the pitch could make the difference he would play.
A Beattie and Webber partnership while Odejayi is suspended would be interesting; however playing with 5 in midfield helps make up for the inability of Murphy and Joyce.

Well if it will help, Alfred.E and I are both skilled in the art of laundering Sheets..assuming that the 'we' in your post indicated that the job is too big for one and you are looking for volunteers !..incidentally I do draw the line at knickers, liberty-bodices, and other female fripperies !.
