Fleetwood fans moaning. God, what would they have been like if they had been in our position after our poor start to the season??

"Accrington had one thing tonight in abundance that we didn't have and that was HEART! When they scored their players were telling us to **** off, and good on them.

Last three games against three lower placed teams we have got 3 out of 9 points. Had enough, done want to see the **** we play anymore, the chairman can do what he wants, but for me Alexander can go, don't care, just delaying the inevitable now IMHO.

****E !!!!

Pretty, pretty, tip tapping about in the first half,
that gets us nowhere, and in the second half a
complete shambles and four Fleetwood players
arguing amongst themselves.

And Accrington Stanley have no money, they operate
on a shoestring, but what they do have and we seem to
lack is bags of bottle."

Re: Fleetwood thread

I don't care about what Johnny come lately Fleetwood fans think !!!

I saw enough tonight to suggest that if we keep the momentum going, we'll be nearer the play-offs than a relegation struggle.:D

I agree with F19......Fleetwood were the best side I've seen at the Crown / F.E.S. this season. They were at times a yard or so quicker, often quicker to the second ball. :(

But we are developing a never say die attitude, which often irks the opposition, who are struggling to live with it. We had it under Coleman and we're rapidly getting it under Beattie.:D

The self belief is coming together nicely. Another clean sheet tonight, although we did ride our luck at times.

I'd like to see us move the ball around a bit quicker and not want as long on the ball, think a little quicker and get shots away earlier, although that said, Rome wasn't built in a day, and little acorns lead to great oaks.

The foundations are now bedding in.... we now need a few more positive results for the positivity to maybe infiltrate the non believers of the apathetic Accringtonian public.........

Encouraging to see a few more in the home ends.....just a shame that we never seem to get the crowds that entertaining and winning football deserves.

Who knows how far we'd go with regular home gates of 2 or 2.5k+??

Hard pushed to call Man of the Match, as all 11 were up for it and played their parts. Winnard unlucky not to get it as kept Tyson, who is lightning quick and too good for this level, in good check.

MoM must be a very hard call these days, which is only positive.:) No-one i think ,me included has mentioned the 2 performances by Liddle, since he came in!! the lad has been superb in my view.:)

Agree with previous post, Liddle has been brilliant in the 2 games since his return, gives us much more pace and mobility down the lhs.

IMO Winnard was MOM and for me has been one of the main factors in our great run, the bloke is simply immense, not the best on the ball but wow what a defender.

Special mention to Michael Richardson for last night, thought he did really well at right back.

Thought our front 2 were poor, especially Bowerman. i think on his debut his goal showed why JB gave him a chance, but since then he's maybe shown why he was without a club. Think big Kay may have a new strike partner Saturday.

Anyway enough of that, what a result, what a run of form, well done lads & bring on Northampton

Northampton will be really tough. Apparently they made Chesterfield look very poor last night, by being very physical and playing a pressing game.

Hasn't affected Sean Dyche when he won it in September and October ;)

Gloucestershire based Swindon fan here. Absolutely chuffed to nuts for you guys, fantastic run of form - long may it continue. Not easy to support an unfashionable club so I applaud each and every one of you. Looking forward to cheering the boys on at Cheltenham in January. Very best wishes to everyone associated with the Club.

Thats how i saw it Frank, forgot about Richardson,it was a big call to play him there and he played really well against quality opposition.
Lids will never let you down and i think the forwards will admit they were not at the best in the first half, but who cares, great performance

Well done to JB and all the team after a great result last night!:alright:

Nice to be able to concur with lots of comments already made by fellow posters.:hesoff:
Liddle was superb last night, particularly in the second half, constantly raiding down the left and firing in some great balls, hard and low which caused there defence lots of problems.
Koyode got better in the second half too and took his goal like a true striker.
George looked a bit tired and perhaps is short of match fitness. A few more outings should give him more stamina and allow him to recover more quickly.
Webber was class when he came on and showed his experience.
Defence were strong too and Tom and Deano are forging a great partnership now in front of a keeper who will definitely play at the highest level in a couple of years.
Richardson did well playing out of position, perhaps right back could be his best option?

Biggest improvement has been in central midfield. A few weeks ago some of us on here were calling for the need for more combativity in midfield and Murphy and Joyce have now added that to their game and along with Pierro, who works so hard, we are able to play a higher defending line. It is great to see our players harrasing and pressurising opponents in their own half.:boxing_sm

Nice to see us at the top of the form league. It is still early season yet and an awful start to the season followed by a superb resurgence could be considered equal to a steady/relatively poor start to the first 18 matches......trying to be realistic and not get too carried away.

To finish really positively....JB and the team now getting it right, we have had that little bit of luck that we just did not get earlier, and a better turn out by the Accy people.....
Long may it continue..:wave8:
ON STANLEY ON!
