If you want to get a real handle on what these young players and their phenomenal coaches have achieved...here's a list of the last 16 in the FA Youth Cup:
Charlton v Arsenal Huddersfield v Man Utd Man City vs Fulham Derby Co v Newcastle Sheffield United v Everton Cardiff City v Chelsea Watford v Liverpool Reading v Accrington Stanley. Enough said. Stupendous. A massive well done to all concerned |

Re: V Bristol City youth
A super performance by our youngsters tonight. :mosher:
Bristol looked quite a good outfit early on but Stanley started quickly and were fully competitive. I worried early on that they would struggle to maintain their early pace. No need to worry because the Stanley youngsters played thier hearts out and ran everything down. The City keeper was determined to play the ball out to his full backs, (probably under instructions), throughout the match but this was there undoing for the first goal which resulted from the Stanley forwards pressing thier opponents high up the pitch. A bit of luck with the second from a free kick from wide out on the left. It was hit in well with the right foot and again it was Stanley forwards rushing in that caused mayhem and confusion in the City defence and with their keeper, and the free kick went straight through all of them without anybody getting a touch! I was worried when City got one back in the first minute of the second half as City had the swirling cold wind behind them. However, Stanley stood firm and got the crucial third goal and left Bristol chasing the game. Another great goal for the fourth and Stanley were well clear. The team looked well drilled, very fit and totally committed to the common cause and they fully deserve to be in the last sixteen. Everyone associated with Accrington Stanley can be very proud of our Youth team tonight!!:):):):) Good luck at Reading in the next round boys!! ON STANLEY ON:jimbo: |

Re: V Bristol City youth
I was hoping there might be 6-800,I thought the teams success would've dragged a fair few punters along. What they are achieving, (from this end of the earth) seems unbelievable !

Re: V Bristol City youth
What makes the result more impressive is most of their team will be playing under 21s /resis football, were our lads are playing under 18s.
