Policing of Football
Hi, I am a 3rd year Sociology student at the University of Leeds and Burnley season ticket holder and the occasional visitor to Stanley if it falls in line with a ridiculous away journey. I am conducting a dissertation entitled 'Policing in Football: Criminalisation or a Necessary Deterrent' and I was hoping some of you may be willing to fill in my short questionnaire.
Would be great to get the perspective of some Stanley fans as they will have differing experiences of police to that of the clubs in the higher leagues. The link to the questionnaire is www.survey.leeds.ac.uk/policingoffootballrjp/ and I would be extremely grateful to anybody who completes it. Apologies for the intrusion (as someone who uses the Burnley messageboard I know how annoying the student surveys are!). Good luck for the rest of the season, if the current form is continued luck may not come into it! |

Don't rattle Davo's cage. Any minute now he's going to tell us that Andy Mangan has been 'released' by Forest Green and is the answer to Stanley's woes;)

Was not aware he was suspended and for such a long time.
Presume there is something bigger than purely football reasons as to why he was released. |
Re: Policing of Football
Perhaps he refused to be a vegetarian?

Re: Policing of Football
Andy Mangan's now on loan at Luton Town who are top of the Conference but wasn't even on the bench for tonight's away win at Dartford:

Re: Policing of Football
Just checking the excellent Bulls News for the latest on Hereford and came across this, which I've copied in full:
Forest Green have had their sacking of striker Andy Mangan overturned. The 27 year old was suspended last year before being dismissed, but his appeal saw him temporarily reinstated and join Luton on loan. The former Fleetwood forward has two years left on his contract, rumoured to be worth £3,000 a week. There's a piece on the BBC too: BBC Sport - Andy Mangan back at Forest Green Rovers after appeal |
