Re: The end of Hereford United?
...not to mention over 1000 season tickets! And that's in a league where attendances were averaging just over 100 last season. The criminal owners are long gone and the new Hereford FC is owned by local businessmen and fans (FA rules prevent the use of 'AFC' or 'United'). The new manager is Peter Beadle, who was caretaker manager at the end of the season before last when the Bulls narrowly 'avoided' relegation from the Conference. If anyone wants a catch-up, the excellent Bulls News has lots of updates on the situation at Edgar Street: Bulls News

Re: The end of Hereford United?
Just been reading the story on Talk sport. including several other lower league clubs. It is an interesting article. But as Cashman says the FA should care a lot more about the lower league clubs. In fact it might be a good mission to start to pester the FA from every lower league club in the country.

Re: The end of Hereford United?
Hereford FC kick off this afternoon in the Midland League, having sold in excess of 3680 advance tickets. Dunkirk, their opponents, averaged home crowds of 54 last season!

Re: The end of Hereford United?
Whilst down here in Hereford on holiday attended Hereford's first game of the season against Dunkirk. Attendance was 4016 a record attendance for their league. The ground has undergone some major refurbishment. The team itself looked very capable with some good young players. Wish them all the best for the rest of the season.

Re: The end of Hereford United?
After a shaky start, the phoenix Hereford FC have won their last sixteen matches and sit at the top of the Midland Premier League. In their last eleven they've scored 40 and let in just one. Yesterday, they had a crowd of 2481! Good luck to 'em.
