Big shock that one.

Strange to leave Southport without a job lined up, Unless he knows something we don't?

Re: Coleman gone from Southport

Must have something lined up or why would Jimmy have walked away from Port Vale?

Maybe DAV007 has written him a reference and he's shortlisted for the United job.

Doesn't read like they're devastated he's gone .............. More like relief in case his 'touchline antics' reflect badly on them ......I see Toto was red-carded (again) on Saturday (or was it the game before?) ...... wonder where he (Toto) will be next season?

I'm surprised that DAV has not pre-warned us as his knowledge of the fan base of other clubs is so extensive.

You couldn't be more wrong and disrespectful.
The club statement on their website is bitchy.

Please go on port chat southport fans forum and see for yourself

I read he was going to sit down with the Southport chairman once the season was over, I can only assume the conversation didn't work out.
I expect Coley asked the chairman to go full time?

DAV007 30-04-2014 00:35

Re: Coleman gone from Southport

On The Spot News Southport Southport FC Manager John Coleman leaves the club

Port chat is annoyed by the chairman's lack of ambition.
The word on the street is Coleman wanted to make a bid for the playoffs next season and the chairman wasn't interested in spending to put a full time structure in place.

Southport fans reckon the chairman personally wrote the website piece out of spite.

regardless of what happens between employee and employer it should always be dealt with in a respectful manner as far as the public are concerned, that article is disrespectful, classless and clueless. Southport should dragged over the coals for that.
