Yes, agreed, but supposed to have been a pre-agreed release.

Guess when a big club agree to visit, small clubs can't wait to announce!!;)

Busy sticking the Premier League badges on as we speak. :D

Good to see Stanley have it the right way round, get the smaller club in for a warm up a few days before playing the bigger club :p

I intend standing or sitting with a good friend who's a Rovers fan but the Fishy site implies there will be segregation of the fans. Is this actually the case and, if so, I wonder how it could be managed?

Got tickets this morning for the Rovers match, main stand. Going with my wife who is a Rovers fan :( and six year old daughter. Club didn't seem to mind it being mixed supporters in the main stand when I asked.

Technically there is no segregation. The allocation of stands makes it easier for Rovers to sell the tickets at their end.

Wasn't it2 years ago, when the only segregation was for the best Rovers manager in recent years Sir Steve Kean :)

Re: another psf

No, I think it was before the start of last season. A 1-0 win for Stanley, with Mr.Robinson fumbling the ball into the net shortly after his 'fans' had been singing how he was England's No.1. How much has changed both at Stanley and Rovers in twelve months!

Mr T 10-06-2014 20:00

Re: another psf

Fantastic day; Sir Steve parked on the streets and walked in via the Coppice exit gates. His security team were waiting by Main Reception!! (close!!);)

Most Rovers fans spent their time drinking Wills finest on the Clayton End concourse and missed the Stanley win!!

Same again on the 23rd??
:)

lancsdave 10-06-2014 20:50

Re: another psf

As an admirer of his achievements I can assure you Sir Steve left Rovers in 2012 :)

Don't know - only the Rovers game prices been announced so far & that's 15 quid a pop. The past two seasons there's been a multi ticket available for the home friendlies, just wondering if that's an option this year?

bdc 20-06-2014 23:00

Re: another psf

Its rumoured the Accrington want to charge £20 for the Burnley game and Burnley aren't happy about it. Would hope common sense would prevail and just charge the same as Blackburn game.

AccyMad 20-06-2014 23:11

Re: another psf

If it is 20 quid I'm afraid i won't be going - no need to exploit the fact that the Clarets have just been promoted to the Premiership, we didn't even charge that for the Everton game last pre-season! (p.s. drinking rum n coke doesn't half make it difficult to log in on this forum:) )

smudgie 21-06-2014 06:48

Re: another psf

They will be really shooting themselves in the foot if its £20.

smobile 21-06-2014 06:50

Re: another psf

Disgraceful.

A lot of Burnley fans help to support us week in week out as a second club.

How out of touch can the club be?

cashman 21-06-2014 06:58

Re: another psf

Does anyone know,if this is correct? or just rumour? I'll slag anyone, but need to know if its correct first.

lancsdave 21-06-2014 07:01

Re: another psf

This has come from the Burnley forum where allegedly a Burnley fan rung Stanley to ask about ticket prices.

I'd be suprised if anybody at the club discussed ticket prices with fans of the opposing team.

On the other hand if it is £20 it would be a massive own goal. The ramping up of prices at Burnley this season will lead to quite a few who can't afford it looking for their football fix.

Another Friendly, Chorley at home, Friday 1st August.

Normally the team in the higher league play away at the lower level team. Could this be to do with Garry Flitcroft and Matt Jansen being Chorleys management team?

A clever move by the club to try and attract some Rovers fans down to The Crown? Hopefully the admission prices are well priced for this!

Jonathan Smith still a coach there?

From memory there is no car park as the ground. You can park on the road leading to it, or the car park at the Carr Rd end

Taken from the Fishy site about today's opponents....

"They’ve played three friendlies so far, winning two, drawing one and losing one, the defeat coming to AFC Fylde in midweek."

Apparently Nelson are going to play their first XI in the first half, their reserves in the second half and their Youth team in the final half!

Lancs Dave is spot on.

There is no parking at the ground; but there's a large car park next the public park just before the ground. I believe there will be stewards on hand to direct us all.:)

I like how the estate agent describes the 'open views' but fails to mention the possibility of having a football kicked through your window on a Saturday afternoon

Hard to judge performances in these games with the changes but I thought Beverly at left back 1st half looked quite decent, Iain Turner in goal probaly a better option than Belford good workout on a decent pitch in hot conditions thank you to Nelson.
