Wonder what team will be out tonight? would hope the kids get another run at some point, also the trialists hardly seen Wort yet.

Agree Cashy thought Wort would have made an appearance at Alty.Unless Beats has seen enough in training

Luke Simpson | Football Stats | Oldham Athletic | Age 19 | Soccer Base

Luke Simpson... Last seen as a trainee at Oldham aparently.

Only 20. Could be a 2nd choice keeper?

Its the only position im a little worried about!

Re: Chorley Match.

Overall not a bad workout, could n should easily been 4, think a goalscorer is needed, but most teams would say that.;)also met Football 19 fer the first time, splendid chap.

quick report, Cashy - have you have a penthouse on Whinney Hill ? (lol) - lost those damn smilies ! Share the puzzlement over Wort - can only think the closed doors game and training has convinced Beatts and, as you say, is wary of spies beating us to the punch. Otherwise surely he'd have been returned down south with blackpudding 'n best wishes ? Guess we'll find out early next week.

nige b 01-08-2014 21:08

Re: Chorley Match.

Possibly Beatts thinks he's unearthead a gem and wants to keep him quiet and has seen enough in training. Who knows, will all come out in the next week but he was supposed to go home yesterday so fingers crossed could be the next Mullers!

Re: Chorley Match.

Likewise Cashy, nice to put a face to a name :)
JB obviously used the game to try nor or two things/formations etc..
Chorley are a decent team and it was a good work out, they had a number of young ex league players in their team, but it really should have been 4/5 goals.
Naismith is the game breaker but mingola was excellent tonight.
Keeper did ok as well ,very encouraging signs

Re: Chorley Match.

unless it were a social thing ( Beatts/Flitcroft ex team mates ) you'd think C'field wouldn't have the brass neck to come raiding Stanley again. But perhaps they've picked up on the upbeat video about Wort.

cashman 01-08-2014 21:47

Re: Chorley Match.

Quite possible, but brass neck dont come into things when yer trying to protect yer own interests, in my experience.;)

Interesting Mab,why would Leeds let lees go if they weren't confident of getting Cooper?,and our lads are just as good IMHO,

The after match JB interview concerning the goalkeeper situation, it sounded like Turner has been made an offer that hasn't been accepted, Simpson did well against Chorley apart from one blatant error, with Dawber injured a new keeper has become a priority

Don't tell me you want to be my ventriloquists dummy again,......what about Ianray I don't want to annoy him anymore than it have to.Of course it will be a pleasure to have your company for the Southend game.

How will I recognise you? Will you wear a red dress?

How's Jordan Mustoe doing?

Always thought he was an excellent defender at this level and was hoping that he'd sign up for us in preference to Wilson. But Willow it is for us and have to say going forward Willow presents more of a threat but not sure defensively.

Just turn up at ticket office and exchange. You might need to pre-book for the last game of the season for the promotion party :)

Was immensely reassured to read in The Sunday Times that Rod Liddle (what can he know of football who claims to support Millwall) forecasts both Stanley and Morecambe will be demoted this year. Being a Londoner, it appears his judgement is based on the fact that both clubs have no money. So what's new, this ninth consecutive season for Stanley?
As if we need any more evidence of his judgement, he also predicts t'Rovers will be promoted!

Well Liddle is going to be wrong if he thinks we have no money.

There is a big announcement on September 7th that will be quite a game changer :theband::theband:

This year I have good vibes that we will get a few points off you.

You ought to thank us. Your usually within 6 points of the drop zone and we give you the easy 6 points to avoid it !
