1,505 turned out as most people expected. Sunny day, not a small turn out from Essex given the distance, and first game of the season had the potential for a larger crowd. Not sure if the £20 price reduced the turn out.

Cheers, Mab, thought the gate held up quite well yesterday despite the new admission charges. 500 season tickets plus just over 300 aways plus whatever complementary tickets were dished out leaves around 600 home walk-ons by my very rough estimate. Considering the doom and gloom predictions when the £20 admission was first announced, I reckon that's a good result.

Yep not a bad turn out considering prise rise n holidays :) biggest rise is £4 for under 12s and there seemed to be lots about yesterday just a pitty could'nt have held on for a point :( roll on Tuesday:)

It aint rocket science, Stanley reduced prices n never got the desired effect, By putting prices up to the same as others, they will get more cash oer the season, away fans always are many more than walk ons, if they dont increase revenue, then only one likely outcome.:eek:

Can always give free tickets out to all local schools, football clubs to the kids on etc
