Noticed Mr.Mingoia got subbed fairly early last night- did he pick up an injury? |
Re: Anthong Barry
Had a decent game last night, Seems odd to me i heard complaints that J.B. was gonna bankrupt the club, Yet since hes departed loads have come aboard, so weres this brass coming from? or were these stories more bullshine?

Re: Anthong Barry
Best thinly veiled Coley bashing I've seen. 3 out of 3 must have you stewing. Mainly loan signings from JC so no cost to ASFC. Unlike Beattie who shelled out big money on lumps like Lee Naylor and had by Marsden's admission our biggest ever budget.
All these rants about JC's appoinment being "disgusting" and against "honesty" despite JC never being found guilty of anything and being the most succesful manager this poorly supported famous old name has had. Not that that excuses any alleged wrongdoing...but where is the outrage over the fact that Mr Suits is being investigated by the Football League? Surely that is "disgusting" and dishonest too..even more so? O'Sullivan....Chapman and Maguire have already made a bigger contribution than the likes of Alabi!! As for Barry. Superb signing!! How long until the boring predictable "Scouse mafia" posts though? |
Re: Anthong Barry
Sod all to do wi coley bashing, loans normally dont come free, fer a teacher yer not that bright Alvin.

Re: Anthong Barry
Bloody hell, here was me thinking that we might get a win at your place this season...and then you go and sign some 'old boys'....just when I thought you had no money!
Oh well...next season ....MAYBE!!!!!!! |
Re: Anthong Barry
Fair enough. I was working on the premise that the loans we have may be relatively cheap seeing as we are doing the parent clubs a favour by providing first team football. Perhaps I am being a Luddite.
If big fees are paid then perhaps departures are imminent. Hope Mingoia stops. We need more strategic links to Rovers and Burnley in order to get more of their promising youngsters imo. Brightness isn't a problem Cashy ...common sense occasionally on the other hand.... Who has Francis Jeffer's phone number btw? :) |

Re: Anthong Barry
My thoughts on Barry's leaving for Yeovil:-
"How the hell do you think I feel? Last night after coming back from the Grey Horse after seeing our inspired performance at Exeter I sponsored Barry's away shirt!!! In my opinion he is POTENTIALLY the best player we have (had). I thought that when we eventually have to sell Craney we would have Barry to build on for the future. I feel sick ." I feel a bit better now! |
Re: Anthong Barry
A player massively underrated in our Conference winning season, Great signing if he is anything like the player he was when he left for Huish Park 8 years ago!

Re: Anthong Barry
Top player and rarely gave the ball away the other night.
Interesting to see were he plays !!,great competition again. just need a defeat now to see the old Coley back :) |

Re: Anthong Barry
Not so sure about this one tbh - only because it's 8 years since he was here & don't honestly remember being that impressed at the time although he must have had something for Yeovil to snap him up as they did. All I can remember is that he could only pass the ball sideways across the halfway line & was a little frustrating to watch because of it (although to be fair my memory's not what it was so I may be completely wrong) :o
Since his spell with them, he's plied his trade in the Conference - maybe he just didn't get the break to get back into the football league but I would have thought he could have done that with Fleetwood as he was part of their Conference winning squad but was released when they gained their promotion to League 2. To be fair I couldn't get to the game on Tuesday so didn't see him play & I hope he proves me wrong if he's in the team on Saturday. |
