Yeovil Promotion
The Club are running a promotion for the Yeovil game at the weekend.
EVERYBODY who goes through the turnstiles will receive a voucher for £5 off our next home game – Wycombe Wanderers – on 20/12/2014. This game promises to be rather a special event as it is the ‘Truce Game’ and will have a host of activities taking place – this will be communicated separately. We hope that anybody who might just be turning out for the odd match – F.A. Cup still draws people out – might then turn up to the Wycombe game. It also gives the opportunity for season ticket holders to ‘bring a mate’, or a family member along for a fiver off. As accompanied U12’s pay £5 on the gate, this means that season ticket holders will have the chance to bring along an U12 for FREE. Dads ’n’ lads type thing, maybe grandparent bringing their grandchild, or an Uncle bringing their Nephew, or Niece. Really hope that this promotion does not offend, as it is aimed at boosting the crowd for what is quite simply our biggest game in years. :) :) :) :) :) :) :) |
Re: Yeovil Promotion
Cracking idea - good move by the club especially with the Wycombe game being at the start of Christmas week, hopefully it will encourage more folk to abandon their shopping & come to the Crown:)

Re: Yeovil Promotion
Given the restrictions on reducing the price of the Yeovil match this is probably the best thing the club can do. Obviously the apparent benefits to season ticket holders or flexi ticket holders do not apply since it is likely they will already be covered for getting in but it is a benefit for everyone else. Plus how often have we heard that I have a pal, brother, sister, friend, dogs' friends walkers' brothers' cousin who won't go because it's £20 to get in. Well now is the chance for them to do it for £15.
In the run up to Christmas it's a chance to see a game against the current league leaders for only £15 or free for kids. It doesn't help me any as I will be using my flexiticket but I don't care because it helps Stanley and if anyone is short of a discount voucher they can have mine. For those who think it's a bad idea, come up with a better one. For those who think it's a good idea, bring a pal, relative, stranger, guy/gal you've met in the pub or anyone for the Wycombe game and the yeovil game too if you can. Yeovil is a must win game because it's at home, it's against a relegation threatend team and it's the chance to meet a big club in the third round. Imagine what it could do for the club to get an away draw at Man Utd, Liverpool, Everton, Arsenal or Newcastle with their large following or one of the other clubs with a large support. It could set us up in the same way as the cup run in 2003/04. So lets get as many as we can to the Crown, OK storefirst, on Saturday and cheer us to a win then use the discount two weeks later to do the same against the league leaders. |
Re: Yeovil Promotion
An actual good idea for once.
Well done the club. |
Re: Yeovil Promotion
Val, how is this great promotion being promoted? I can't see anything on the fishy site. Will it be in the OB and/or Telewag?
