The day we will possibly have the biggest media attention in years and 10,000's of people scrambling for 5000 tickets ... We are closed. Only Stanley.

You can't scramble for tickets until arrangements are made. Not every arrangement is in the hands of the club, and a lot of authorities involved won't even attend a meeting unless there is a confirmed event ;)
