A good number of Stanley fans who don't use this forum have made contact and told me which way they would vote.

If I was 'a Stanley fan' living in Oswaldtwistle for example who didn't use our Forum, and this chap DAV came along and asked " Who,from the list of names I am about to show you would you vote for as being Fan of the Year ?....there's Me I'm Dav007 and I'm in the lead !...there's Redraine don't think much of him !....and Chubbyman, well you wouldn't want to know him !....and there's me..Dav007 and I'm still in the lead !....and so on down your proffered list.

If I have the merest drop of oil in my can I am going to say to you in return " What on earth are you going on about ?. I've never heard of any of these people !...are they Men,Women or
Children ?..why don't they have Forenames like everyone else ?, and how in the name of
sanity am I , without knowing them or their credentials to be expected to name one of them ' Fan of the Year ?.
Presumably though it seems you were able to deduce that it was from this questionable
standpoint that they had formed and stated their opinion,
If so then well done !....If not, then I'm afraid that this paragraph does you very little justice and possibly diminishes the importance which you have ,without doubt ,invested in your
project.

We should take this seriously...I am taking it very seriously indeed and have spent all Christmas researching through a years threads......It seems a few are capable of being crowned king Of the Fans....It looked hands down it would be my grumpy co-pilot Cashman....BUT along came another name DAV007 and as things are at this moment he's a strong contender and possibly nudging into the lead.I shall declare my choice for this prestigious title tomorrow... if of course I haven't been committed to a lunatic asylum....A Very Happy and Prosperous New Year to all Stanley Fans Far and Wide.....
