Will Hatfield

Good luck to him, thought he never really got the breaks at Stanley his enthusiasm deserved.

Best of luck Will, not happy about this but better for the lad to be playing regular games if he can get them & I've no doubt he'll be snapped up - he's too good a player to be warming the bench for anyone.
Won't forget the look on his face when he scored his fourth at AFC Fylde couple of years ago, bless 'im

Re: Will Hatfield

Lovely chap and a decent player but I think his versatility was ultimately his downfall as he could never lay claim to play in one position for an extended period of time, especially once Coley came back and brought in O'Sullivan, Maguire, et al.

Wouldn't surprise me to see him go back to Halifax where he's just been on loan.

Exactly. Not a scouser; never played for Sligo. So little prospect of progress at Stanley.

So players don't just have to be scousers now, Sligo too now? Progress if you ask me!

Also how do you expect Stanley to recruit new players with no real scouts at the club? Without that any manager is going to stick to what they know, Which hasn't done Coley too bad previously as our manager, has it?

Mab,
do you think we would have got a fee?
I cant see it.

Surely better for the lad to be playing games and the club to not be paying his wages.

Apparently that depends on who you supposedly hate. The hatred was strong with you when Beattie was manager yet mild criticism of Coley and you are a hater. Give it a rest!!!

no one hated beattie, not even his dire hoof ball was hated.
Disliked, boring, predictable, out of his depth, but not hate.

Did anyone who questioned Beattie threaten to stop supporting the club? No.
Did they when Coleman was rumoured? Yes.

You managed to meet your criteria of a hater and to date are the only one showing any level of hatred towards anyone.

Has anyone actually stopped supporting the club because of Coleys return? If so please let us know or is that another one of the things you hint at but say nothing.

It's easy to say something in the heat of the moment and not follow through. The worst excuse for a Stanley performance I have seen in recent times were the abject failures at Carlisle and Stevenage this season. Gutless, pathetic, clueless don't even come close to describing them. Players we know are good players looked like they had never seen a football before and Beattie was no where in sight. It would have been easy to chauck it if they were the only two games you had seen this season but nobody did just like nobody stopped going because Coley came back.

Beattie kept us in the league relatively comfortably as did Liam and Coley and to be honest that will probably be as good as it gets most seasons unfortunately. Based on what I have seen this season we don't look like promotion contenders because we can't beat the poor teams below us often enough. I hope we can improve but on past performances from Coleys teams we have a slump around this time of year and pick up towards the end.

Beattie is gone so forget him, Coley is here so lets get behind him but he's not the messiah he's a very... . No let's not do that one :D.

Pretty gutted Will has gone, but as others have said, his face didn't fit so was sent packing.

Really hope he does well at Halifax, as no doubt he has the talent to make it as a football league player.

Good luck Will.
