Calling all who care about Accrington Stanley

From the 1ST January 2016 the club seeking a new sponsor for the kit and stadium

Looking for a six figure sum per year on a three year contract

We want posting on here any ideas, leads the fans of the club may have.

It is the intention that between us all we can pursue an avenue that leads us to the pot of gold !
Why not be part of it, put your ideas down on here and the powers that be would be able to follow these up

Surely Stanley Tools should be targeted.

Drop in the ocean for them - we've got the name - a majority working class, male crowd for Stanley and following lower league football - Stanley Tool's target market.

Reckon a Yellow and Black away strip would look the part as well :)

Stanley seeks new sponsorship partner

Accrington Stanley is seeking a new commercial partner to sponsor its kit and stadium from January 2016 with help from marketing company Scott Dawson Advertising.

The club has announced its contract with existing shirt and stadium sponsor, East Lancashire based nationwide self-storage chain Store First, is due to expire at the end of this year.

And Stanley directors are keen to start the process of finding a new partner well in advance.

Though board members are in discussions with a number of businesses about different opportunities, they are still searching for a key partner to put their name and finances to the team kit and the ground itself, currently known as the Store First Stadium.

The club is looking for an annual six-figure sum for the shirt and stadium sponsorship deal on a three-year contract.

Accrington Stanley FC chairman Peter Marsden said: “We have had a fantastic partnership with Store First over the last few years and we will continue to work with them in different ways thanks to the strong bonds we’ve built together.

“We’re now looking to build a brand new commercial relationship to take us into 2016 and beyond. Sponsoring our kit and stadium offers excellent exposure for the right company, whether that’s through regional and national press, Sky TV matches, various gaming platforms via FIFA and radio coverage too.”

Murray Dawson, managing director of Scott Dawson Advertising said: “Stanley is one of the most famous clubs in the world, it punches way above its League 2 weight in terms of media exposure and public awareness as the enduring popularity of the famous 80s milk advert proves. It’s a fantastic association for the right company and we’re on board to help the club find that partnership to take them to the next level.”

how come new deal only comes into play January 2016... what about 1st half of the season? Seems silly that would change half way through a season - surely would be more attractive if it was from the start of the season... ensuring a big New Kit & New Stadium push

I asked the same question on Thursday Ash and was told it was because Store First have already paid upfront and not in arrears like a lot of other sponsorship deals.

Out of respect to them, the club don't intend to end it early and more importantly are not in a position to refund any money already paid.
