Shame we couldn't see the game out but was always gonna be tough with the monkey hangers fighting for their lives - I'll save my celebrations for when we've beaten Stevenage on Saturday

:) Just got back! What a goal from Josh a stunning volley:D played against a dirty cheating Hartlepool side and the officials got a big fat ZERO from me.. The lads did well tonight and did us proud, got the point that made it mathematicaly safe,,:)

happy with a point funny game for me as I did not want us to loose I don't want my home town club to go down either. sensible subs by both managers but again the officials were pants. saw simpson earlier this season and not improved how this guy keeps on the fl list is beyond me very weak they should have finished with 10. anyway roll on Saturday we owe westley one to knacker his play off hopes

Good result from Stanley. At this time of the season an away draw against relegation threatened teams is an achievement.
Well done to all at the club for another successful season. Clearly from the fishy site's evidence, the management team are just as delighted as the rest of us;)

PS I too would prefer to see teams like Hartlepool and Tranmere stay up, if only because they can bring fans to Stanley's home game, but next season we be playing fewer 'northern-ish' teams that are likely to be replaced by five 'southern-ish' sides.

Well done to the lads they played all the football on the night and mixed a bit with the opposition
josh a great goal, if messi would have scored that it would never be off the telly
it just showed to me two sides of our game, looking forward to next season and our pre season tour to cornwall ??

Yeah that would work for me - Coley said Blackpool, Burnley, Blackburn & Everton at Home and Pre-Season Tour of Cornwall at the Fans Forum.

Think he said to mark Bodmin's 125th Anniversary, may have been Truro. Be quite a few planning holidays to Devon / Cornwall this summer then................. :hothothot

Agreed about the great goal from Josh. Difficult conditions on a windy night. We played the football, Hartlepool concentrated on hoofball which did put us under great pressure the longer the game went on. Rob Atkinson and Lloyd Jones were again superb, and as always Luke Joyce was just about everywhere. Yet again the officials were totally inept and allowed stupid situations to develop.

I regret to say that Sean Maguire made little contribution to the game. He seems to be very adept at ensuring he is close to his marker if there is a chance that someone will pass the ball to him.

How that ref is a football league official is beyond me! as the 40 reds will confirm that every time the crowd roared for a free kick he suddenly blew his whistle and tried to let hartlepool get the game going as soon as possible! Liner didnt have a clue either! You reall couldnt make it up! The best one was Maguire and their 6ft odd defender both jumping for a ball and he goes down like a bag of bricks , ref plays on, heres the shouts and runs over a gives a free kick!

This season is the only season really ive noticed how poor the officials have been!

Hartlepool deserve to go down as they are an abysmal team and the tactics in the second half to ruffle the feathers of stanley and to dive and cheat anyway possible isnt good to watch! BUT if we was down there i would do anything for points!

Thought we played well first half but the inexperience in the second half under the pressure showed , we couldnt keep the ball and looked like we would crumble!

Nice point though to clinch another season in the football league!

Thought Piero once again played well and so did Joycey, Atkinson, Windass and Winnard when we came on!

Maguire and Bruna and the young Jones who they were obviously was trying to get sent off and kept biting!
