Last match of the season Stanley v The Stags

Not much to play for apart from pride and not dropping a place in the league. Another successful campaign in terms of staying in the Football League on the smallest budget. See you all mid July for the friendlies!

Looking forward to this - an enjoyable, stress-free afternoon. Pity the poor sods at Prenton Park - and there's way more of them than us, which in its own way is quite a tribute to Coley, Jimmy and the good folk who run our club. Passion overcomes logic!

Just hope the ref is in 'end of season' mode; he's issued 8 red cards in only 20 games!

Hoping for a good game to finish off the season, not sure who the ref is - in the match preview it says Chris Foy but in the write up about him it says Mr. Haines? Maybe they're letting us have two this afternoon so one can keep an eye on t'other one ;)

Looks like everyone else is poleaxed by the post match celebrations, but I for one found our second half fightback inspirational. We played some great football after a dire first half, and if I didn't know better I would almost believe that Coley had substituted about 10 players at half time. Great scenes in front of the Clayton End after full time, and the Ultras were in fine voice throughout with a full repertoire of songs celebrating much history, putting to shame the Stags fans who only seemed to know"Yellows, yellows". Full marks to them though for turning out in such numbers for a dead rubber of a game after a bad run of form.

Today's game was a proper game of 2 halves. 1st half we did not look at races. Created very little thou Mansfield only created a bit more through hoof ball and physical presence. The best entertainment was the mansfield fans versus our stewards.2nd half you could tell the players had a rocket up um. Played far better and overall we deserved the win. Enjoyed all the old classic songs coming out on the Clayton end. The win sends us home happy maybe dreaming of a play off push next season.

P.s. improved attendance from home fans today. Nearly 1400 on despite winter conditions.

Was worried during first half as it seemed like it would just be a drab end of season affair but the second half was well worth.watching - well done to the lads for outwitting & outplaying a very physical Stags side & securing the three points

If David Dunn does come we will have that and plus every home game.

First half was awful from Stanley. Looked absolutely clueless at times and never looked like threatening the Mansfield defence.
Full credit however to the management and the players for turning things around in a pulsating second half.
Stanley full value for the win in the end and probably should have had another goal or two.
