Thought Liverpool would want him playing at a higher level.

Massive fan of Shays,he's a nightmare to play against when bearing down on goal, just needs to get his awareness sharpened up at times, but a talented lad for sure

I don't think we have room in the squad for Shay anymore do we? We're overrun with strikers and attacking midfielders.

Well, they're both named in the starting line ups for today's game so am hoping that means they're staying? Would be good to know for sure though

Well both lads got 45 mins so i would imagine they are?:) couldn't understand why a guy who never scores, never looks like scoring took our penalty? Also thought both of our keepers looked ok.

Who was that, Cashy? Crooks? What was the score? Any other details?

No twas Barry mate, one of the poorest penalties ive seen. overall dont think we played bad considering players played 45 mins, we hit the post with a decent effort before they scored and missed a sitter at the death.

An injury to Jordan Rhodes overshadowed a Rovers victory over Accrington Stanley in their opening pre-season friendly of the summer.

There's a report on t'Rovers web site.

He took it because he was the captain for the second half! The keeper committed himself to his right before Barry kicked it straight at him, doh. Apart from that Barry played great. We missed Joyce badly in the first half but he looked more than ready to step into his boots. Some very encouraging performances from our lads and as Cashy says we could have shaded it 3-2. Who was the lively, pacy little left winger, no.25, who impressed me a lot?

Yeh seemed to be a nothing thing, but Rhodes seemed to have picked up a bad un, Hope the lads gonna be ok.

Would that have been the coloured guy? he looked promising to me.
