Re: Peter Murphy
They could sign Messi and Ronaldo and still forfeit 6 points to us every season.

Re: Peter Murphy
There's also rumours that some league 1 club is interested in signing Peter, wouldn't be surprised if he wants to be at the seaside he's another going down to the south coast to link up with Paul Cook & co ............ unless he's homesick & wants to come back up north??

Re: Peter Murphy
Wonder how many pieces of silver it took to turn him into a Judas??

Re: Peter Murphy
To be honest i dont blame any player fer not wanting to come back to us, they simply cant afford too, if they got a house n family to run. shame but thats life.

Re: Peter Murphy
Absolutely agree Cashy & wish him luck . . . . . . just hope Morecambe realise that Peter's already used his quota of scoring last minute goals, any player only gets so many in a career :D

Re: Peter Murphy
Top lad and good player, would have welcomed him back for sure, but it's not to be and we move on !!!

Re: Peter Murphy
Absolutely delighted to have Peter signed up. Looking forward to what Coley calls "Peter Murphy time" goals.
Wycombe's loss though. |
Re: Peter Murphy
Unfortunately Murph's knack for last minute goals seems to have deserted him last season, as with any player we've had before you we always seem to have had the best of them before they've moved up the road - I might be wrong & wish Peter luck, just not against us of course ;)

Re: Peter Murphy
Maybe not last minute goals but he was firing them in at the start of the season then got dropped for some reason and never got much of a sniff in the 2nd half of the season!!
|
Re: Peter Murphy
He got a very raw deal at Wycombe.
He had 7 goals very quickly and seemed to be only a sub after that. Apparently Wycombe paid him £10,000 to cancel the 2nd year of his contract as he was living in the London area and his girlfriend and baby were in Liverpool. He wanted to come on loan to Morecambe in March but Ainsworth wouldn't allow him to come. |

Re: Peter Murphy
Good luck to Murphy.
As others have said, a good League 2 standard player who will give you 100% whenever he plays. |
