An 18 year season ticket for kids? Would an ideal gift for all newborns in the borough

Clubs trying but another silly idea in my eyes!

We need to be trying more to get the younger generation and families through the door! And especially the youngsters for our future!

Nothing silly about trying to get cash in up front. So if Cashy (say - other old gits are available :)) lives to a hundred and Stanley stay in the FL with admission around £20 he'll be quids in and the club quids out, eventually, but if something causes him to stop attending - say he falls (further) out with the manager and takes his business elsewhere, that'll be £1000 quid to help us get through the summer that we wouldn't get otherwise.

Obviously you're right about the younger generation, but the two aren't mutually exclusive (unless home gates goes up to 5000, in which case who cares ).

Yup - how many pensioner season tickets are sold each year?

What's the plan for 7 years down the line when that dries up?

It may have been carefully thought out analysing what age people tend to stop going, or maybe not? It seems like tempting fate, if I was 70 getting a 20 year season ticket would be something I wouldn't dare dream of doing as I know I would not be able to go after a year.

Leeds did this for general season tickets in around 2004, you added a nought for a 20 year ST (i.e. 20 years for current 10). The fears are if a club is in a desperate position to do it, who is to say it will be honoured in the future.

I think a debentures may be the way forward rather than buy a brick. This is how it could work. I lend Stanley £4000 for 20 years, they pay me £4000 at the end of the 20 years interest free. During which time as a debenture holder I see all the home games for free. It depends how much they need the money now, and what for.
