50/50 Draw

Can we have this is a thread regarding the 50/50 draw please as I can't seem to find it anywhere on the Stanley website!

So what was the number today then?!

I bought one off Steven about quarter to 2. I don't know the winning number but I could hazard a guess at one of the losing ones :)

lancsdave 09-08-2015 06:31

Re: 50/50 Draw

Must have sold a few yesterday the prize was £230. Don't know the full number but fairly sure it began with 688. When it goes on fishy site it's usually Monday.

Steven normally stands at bottom of Crown steps but he does have a wander now and again if he gets bored :)

Why not have a little table just inside Clayton End Turnstile? many come last mins on yon, us included and the fact yeh gotta fart about before yeh come in looking fer yer ticket to be used, cos yeh dont sodding know until yer outside the turnstile, people dont fart about before getting in, this has all been said but nothing as yet.

Not 100% certain but I'm fairly sure it's all voluntary. If there aren't enough volunteers then all areas won't be covered. I think the Supporters Club managed to get a couple more involved but I'm guessing the numbers are still thin on the ground.

He's a free spirit, he hunts people down rather than waits for them to come to him. He manages to get me to part with £2 every game so he must be good :)

I think the Supporters Club have somebody on the away end with programmes etc. Not sure about anybody else.

Re: 50/50 Draw

Winnng number was 68847.

Posters in sportsbar, shop, and front door (all still thee)

PA man should also announce it.

It's correct we only have two regular volunteer sellers; although the OSC have kindly provded some sellers for the away end.

The lady who was resonsible for the admin last season; including putting in on he website has left the club. As of yet no has picked up her match day dutes so the other full time staff (plus the match day volunteers)are taking on the extra stuff.

Sue Marshall from the OASSC has been doing the away end for quite a few games now and doing an excellent job.
Our club survives on the good will of the supporters ie volunteers
Volunteers need encouragment and praise its very simple really
YES WE DO NEED A VOLUNTEER TO GO INSIDE THE TURNSTILES IN THE CLAYTON END TO SELL THE 50.50 TICKETS AND A FEW BITS AND PIECES, SO PLEASE LETS NOT MOAN ABOUT IT LETS DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT !!

Cashy, we spoke about this the other day and whilst it is not sorted yet, it is on the list. It is hard to find people to give up their time, but I promise you - and KTF - that I will do my best to sort :)

Agree 100% that we have lost money since Liz stopped selling tickets in Clayton End :) I do also know that you and your mates want to help the Club out!! :)

Imho that reply is out of order and disappointing to see, given the effort Nick has put into getting the OASSC back up and running over the last few months. Sorry Cashy, but that's the way I see it.

Re: 50/50 Draw

Let's have this right; me, Cashy, Keep The Faith and a few more go in the pub, have a couple of pints, shoot the breeze and leave about ten to three. It's our match day ritual, it's what we do and it isn't going to change. So, none of us are going to be volunteering to sell draw tickets anytime soon. If that makes us not very good fans, so be it.

However, when Liz was doing the rounds on the Clayton End, we always bought tickets and if there was somebody selling them outside the home turnstiles, we would again.

Cashy is actually "moaning" about wanting to GIVE money to the club. I wish we had a few more "moaners" like that!

£239 to be exact.
At Portsmouth I bought a half time draw ticket. It cost £2, 15000 people but the prize was £100. Admittedly not advertised as a 50/50 draw but what poor value!
