Looked like them and the ref and liner were all playing for Accy ! |
Re: Former Players!
Morecambe Red - Stanley only made two fouls in the first 60 minutes. Maybe if your players had such discipline the ref wouldn't be forced into awarding free kicks in dangerous places, booking players and the like?

Well, if Morecambe Red will keep coming on here & carping what can you do . . . . . Couldn't resist, way too tempting :D

Sousa, 22, joined Accrington on 13 February, but registration issues meant the former Portugal Under-19 international did not play a game. He made 30 appearances for Slovenia's NK Celje last season, after spending the 2013-14 season at Barnsley. "He has good pace so will add something to the squad we already have here," Tranmere manager Micky Mellon said. Mellon was on the coaching staff at Barnsley during Sousa's time at Oakwell. Tranmere are third in the National League, two points off the automatic promotion places with 10 matches left to play. |
Re: Former Players!
So how do tranmere get him registered but not us

Re: Former Players!
Good question - maybe they haven't yet & will run into similar difficulties?

Didn't take Micky Mellon long to snap him up. It will be interesting to see if he helps Tranmere achieve promotion? |
Re: Former Players!
Would Tranmere have the same problem as Stanley with them playing non-league football may be different rules.

You don't offer someone terms if you think they're only average. Perhaps it has more to do with his regular position - LEFT WING! Who would have to be dropped to give him a go????? |
Re: Former Players!
Bruna had the same fatal flaw - a left foot.

Re: Former Players!
Have to admit as hard as it is that on the night Stanley where far superior than my lot and deserved their victory.
I'm no Coley fan but have to admire how he appears to have changed his managment style during game time. Rather than being vocal as he used to be he appears to stand back and let the players do his talking for him. Still a long way to go in this season yet and from our perspective we appear to be safe but the off field goings on are having a detrimental affect on the players and their futures as MFC or elsewhere. As for the ex Stanley players the only one who reall y is off his game is Murphy but maybe his injuires are finally catching up with him. As for the otehrs they certainly had an off night to be sure. |
