What chance..........

do A.S.F.C. have of increasing the numbers passing through the turnstiles..... when this website is openly advertising tickets for a Rovers game played on the same day as one of Stanley's homegames ???:(:(

I opened this site tonight to find an advertising banner showing B.R.F.C.'s home game with Ipswich plastered above the Stanley related threads.

Before a mod slaps me down with " They ( B.R.F.C. ) pay money to advertise ".....I find it a real kick in the teeth that this website is advertising a local competitors ticket prices when Stanley are struggling as it is to get folk to get down to watch the team.:enough:

I'd liken it to Bernard Matthews trying to sell Cranberry sauce to Turkeys !!

If this is true then i find BRFC's actions totally immoral! Trying to entice other clubs fans shows how low they will stoop. They'd watch us go under if it meant they made a few more quid for the Venky's. Similar to Bob Lord's Burnley in the early 1960's.

I don't know the technicalitys but I think you will find they are not paying to advertise on this site. I think it has more to do with Google Ads

The adverts aren't the same for everyone and unlikely to be directly linked to this part of the forum. As Dave said it's more likely to be linked to google ads as, when I was in Croatia and Bosnia a couple of weeks back, the ads were in Croatian and I doubt Accyweb would target the Balkans.

As Dave said it's down to Google Ads. They put ads on sites based one what they think will generate the most amounts of clicks. Sometimes it's location based or relative to the content of the site. A lot of the time it's down to what sort of browsing behaviour the user has and suggests adverts based on where you've been before / types of content you've viewed.

Ah, that's why I keep seeing adverts for those 'specialist' tablets? I mean, when I am using my dad's computer obviously. Not mine.

Nearly 24 hours since the last reply, maybe you need the tablets to keep up :)
