Pitch

The pitch needs covering ASAP ahead of the heavy rain forecast for Boxing Day because if it isn't covered there will more than likely be three home games in a row postponed and no home game for at least 8 weeks which sure would be a disgrace big time. If the game is postponed I will have no option but to post a letter to the club asking for future home games to be scheduled to be played at Turf Moor, Burnley where the drainage is far better than at the Wham Stadium.

Ar----------gh he,s back must want the wrath of Coleman by playing at the Turf.

AccyMad 24-12-2015 15:31

Re: Pitch

And he still doesn't understand that covering the pitch does sod all to help protect it from torrential rain . . . . . . . . Still if it makes him happy to send a letter who are we to dissuade him, cart on mate

Re: Pitch

No option but to post a letter! They can add it to the pile of other ones you sent. Maybe tape them together to form a new pitch cover.

Are you actually a real person?

It is the season of goodwill to all men....except this one !.
SO...as a real goodwill gesture please everyone just ignore this post !!.

To everyone else .... Have a real happy Christmas and please spare a thought for all those in Carlisle and everywhere else where natural and man-made crises are bringing challenges the like of which none of us are likely to come across !.

JOYEUX NOEL !.

Re: Pitch

The club is an idiot too for having 3 home games in a row postponed and failing to schedule matches for other venues

Re: Pitch

Somerset , it is not rocket science to realise the sheets ( frost sheets ) you keep referring to are for frost not rain , however seeing as you don't seem to understand , let me ask you this IF ( and it is a huge IF ) the sheet COULD hold all the rain , who the hell would be strong enough to remove them without spilling the water or maybe you could do it !!! I like others will now ignore your posts .

Re: Pitch

I have come to my senses and agree that covers are for frost and not rain so a waterlogged pitch can't be helped but home matches I feel should be played at Turf Moor, Burnley where the drainage is far better.

What a good idea!! Would you do us a favour & write Burnley a letter to organise it?

Re: Pitch

Six weeks today since we played our last home game.:( It'll be eight weeks when/if we play Notts County in the next home match. Nothing can be done though......very disappointing!:( Looking on the bright side, the season we made the play offs we had many matches called off due to the farmers field pitch and we won every back logged match.:)
At least it's only a football match rained off. Whalley is being evacuated due to this never ending fecking rain!!:(

Greeny 26-12-2015 09:38

Sense at last , postponed early . Shame though would have been good for " diving ".

Re: Pitch

Even Blackburn's State of the art pitch hasn't been able to cope with the rain. Their game's off too.

choirboy 26-12-2015 09:47

Re: Pitch

Please could someone inform "Somerset" that the 'Covers' that he would need to buy for Stanley would need to be "FLOATING COVERS"!

Unprecedented weather experienced 'Up North' now for several weeks. The bottom of my back garden is flooded again!
I agree with what 'Yonmon' says.... We are only frustrated by football matches being called off and we really should feel for those whose homes and businesses are under threat of flooding not for the first time but for the third or fourth time!!!!

We will just have to play catch up and according to Jurgen Klapp (sic), we should benefit later in the season from having a mid winter break!

I see another letter is winging it's way to the club. Come on admin just ban the troll or nearly every thread will be them on the front page. It's not as if they are constructive just stupid.

It wouldn't be so bad if they were a Stanley fan but I doubt they could find Accy with a sat nav

I don't remember the "build a tent over the pitch" on here but then again most of his drivel is instantly forgettable despite the number of times he repeats it :D
