The fixture was mentioned in the Hartlepool match thread in answer to ChrisR's query about the possibility of moving the Pools game forward a day to Wednesday if there was a chance it'd be better weather then

Stanley Reserves v Everton A was postponed in the first couple of seasons that the second team got into that league as Everton did not have enough players to send a team or something daft like that.

We beat Burnley reserves in the first season, but the glamour was tempered by playing UMIST.

Last time at Southport we were walking the Conference but got beat 2-0 didn't we? There is a pub near the ground but it is mainly modern era semi detached housing and not your normal football ground area.

Lost 1-2 last night.

Looked like most of our fringe players got a run out which is good news I guess.

roman hickey and chris evans are youth team players, you will know danny ricchi from his bury days

Roman Hickey was playing for youth side last season from what ive seen he could make an half decent midfielder.:)
