New regime positive thread.

I,d like to list a few in my opinion positive moves by the new board;-

1-For the last few weeks men and machinery on site putting in extre drainage and generally cleaning up and getting rid of eyesore old cabins. This must run into thousands of pounds.

2- New gym at back of Coppice end again some cost and a big thanks to supporters club for donations towards some of the eguipment.

3-A !ong awaited pre-agreement with the council on a !ong term lease for the ground hopefully releasing matched grants for much needed stadium upgrades again a cost if you fully match the full grant.

4-Much needed experienced quality additions to the squad in January again probably quite a cost one which we wouldn't have been able to do before.

5-New ideas being introduced again at a cost not every body,s cup of tea but at least being tried without new ideas and input and hard work you stagnate.

Cheers fer that 1-4 are brilliant for the club, 5 new ideas are great also, but treat people like crap and yeh may do worse than stagnate in my view, a simple fact some seem unable to grasp.

Yes and you could have added

6. Debts cleared
7. £1.3m secured to develop the stadium.
8. The securing of key squad members on longer term contracts (Something the club has not had the luxury of for some years)
9. The introduction of new sponsorship

If you feel so strongly about your views Cashman, Sure Dave Burgess would get the kettle on and have a chat with him?

Positives...

Could the club have sustained 2 months with little/no money coming into the club? Lucky to have Andy Holt but I think it's important that we become self sufficient as soon as we can to not be relying on money being pumped in!

Spoke to more than a handful of people and Andy Holt has proved himself he isn't scared of putting a shift in doing the drains himself which hopefully will rub off!

Hopefully the club take over the burger vans when the current lease ends as I believe the club will make more money being run by the club than an outside caterer!

You beat me to it Baldy. Was just writing about Holt not being afraid to get stuck in - fits very much with the ethos at the club. Commendable.

No Mecca I believe this Mr. O,Niell works for Farley's solicitors whom Andy Holt uses and also have contributed some cash in some form of sponsorship I can,t remember what.

Around £3500 that Farleys donated wasn't it?

As far as i'm concerned Andy Holt has been the best thing possible for the club no doubt at all,as far as having a brew wi yon mon. more chance of me being struck by lightening.
