Re: Cowshed build!

Just read this article , From the photo in the paper is this not the house where they usually gather on match days to watch the game for free ??? or is that their next door neighbour.
Why buy a house next to a stadium and then complain when the stadium ( hopefully ) improves ??? this does not make sense to me. It like going to live next to an airport and then complain over a new runway.
If he is so bitter then why has he been to the newspaper and not to Accrington Stanley ? I find both David Burgess and Andy Holt decent men and these are the ones that should be approached.

Just because he went away while work started, this kind of says! The football stadium has been there longer them than houses! So

Ah, come on - have a heart, they won't be able to see the game from their garden anymore - just know it's them that watch while bouncing on their trampoline, it's even in the photo :p:rolleyes:

Andy has been doing the "drainage and cleaning up" which it looks miles better and nothing worse than going down the Clayton End when it's rained and puddles all over the place!

No building work has started on the stand!

Since when have newspapers let facts get in the way of good (i.e. moaning) headline? The LET in particular gives internet trolls a run for their money.
Chip shop owners stopped wrapping their food in newsprint when they found it sours the vinegar.

As of this morning there were 36 :)comments in support and 2 objections:mad:.

One of the latter implied people sitting in the stand will get a better view into his garden and a new floodlight will be aimed into his garden. Not sure which way round he thinks the stand will be facing and what fans come to watch.
The other objects because, as he's already extended his house at the back by 8.5m , so the new stand will be even nearer. Wonder if the club objected to his extension?

As previously discussed planning decision are not (or at least shouldn't be) decided like elections on public votes, but the more comments in favour, the better it will be.
So if anyone hasn't already done so, use the "case file" link in one of Baldy's earlier posts and send support for the application.

I wonder if he took his plans round his neighbours, and the club, as part of a consultation process?

He must be getting us mixed up with Morecambe as I understand the planning application for their new stand had seats that faced away from the pitch!!:)

Perhaps he could house the Stevenage Fans tomorrow seeing as his extension is so close to the stadium?!!:130::behead:

Andy Holt has been on twitter posting before & after pictures of the area behind the Clayton End with references to Hyndburn Council & cryptic quotes about “dealing with unreasonable people”

Wonder if things are not going too well with the planning applications…………….
