Morecambe FC Up for Sale!

Announced a couple of hours ago - their chairman Peter McGuigan has put the club up for sale . . . . . . . anyone got a spare 10 bob :rolleyes:

I hope somebody does take over Morecambe. I am worried that Bolton may not be bought in time. It makes you realise how close Stanley have come in the recent past.

One of the rumours on their forum is that Peter Ridsdale could be involved in a takeover bid - really hope for their sake that it is only a rumour - no-one deserves that!!

I have some sympathy with the Morecambe fans, I remember how I felt when we were hanging on be a thread with all sorts of rumours doing the rounds.
