Goal difference

How annoying that the 4 goals conceeded against Exeter and Notts County are keeping us out of the automatic spots.

Be more annoying if we miss n automatic place.;) its well deserved imho.

Re: Goal difference

Without being too critical can't help but feel if we miss out we'll have underachieved thi season.

I can only recall two terrible performances all season Portsmouth home and Carlisle away.
We seem to have lost most points from sloppy self-inflicted performances than by being outplayed.

Lets hope we can pull it out the fire in the last four.

There can't be many on here who equate a battle to secure promotion as under- achievement.
We can all remember what might have been, matches that got away, and I'm sure the fans of our immediate promotion rivals can too.
Can't change what's happened; all that really matters are the next four games.

Yer looking at it wrong imho Morse, top half is a great achievement fer a club like ours.;)

Yeah might sound a bit critical tho not intended.

Just think this in this exceptional season we're good enough.

Whatever way it pans out its been an unbelievable season and chapeau to Mr Coleman.

Re: Goal difference

Summat just crossed my mind, if we were in the play-offs, would Joss n Crooksy still be available, or would they be gone?

Re: Goal difference

Normally contracts run to June so till then we can do with them as we see fit.

If we get autos they could lend a hand clearing for the new stand. Think Josh has worked on sites before and Crooksy a big lad.

Mr Kettle will be to blame if we finish within a point of the Autos. That ludicrous decision could see us miss out on promotion and all the financial gain from playing in a northern based League 1 that comes with it....

Mr. Kettle supervised Oxford's home defeat against Luton on Saturday!

As things stand, next season's League 1 might be slightly less "northern".
Only one out of 3 clubs coming down from the Championship could be northern, with 2 out 3 going up being northern.
Three out of 4 leaving League 1 could be northern, being replaced by 3 out of 4 southern teams from League 2.
But it should still be financially better to be hosting the likes of Bolton, Sheffield Utd, Rochdale, Bury, etc, and filling the new 'Holt End' stand!:)
