Exeter City Match Thread
Exeter City today .......NO points from their first three matches!
We will need to look out for a big effort from them today. How are we going to do today guys and gals? I hope that THE ULTRAS are in good voice to cheer the team on.:theband: I just hope that our lads can apply the commitment shown by the GOLDEN GIRLS of the GB WOMENS HOCKEY TEAM. Well done Ladies on the GOLD MEDAL last night!:wave8::drink: |
Re: Exeter City Match Thread
they will be hurting for sure and we,ll see today if they either been unlucky or in a position they should be in. probebly the former and we,ll have to be on top form but at least they attempt to play football unlike some others in this league.

Re: Exeter City Match Thread
on visiting the EXE's forum the fans do not appear very confident for getting a result today, here's hoping their fans are very astute judges

Re: Exeter City Match Thread
always a good side, will have to be on our toes today.

Re: Exeter City Match Thread
In this weather anything could happen - just hope it settles enough to allow a good game of football to be played & give us a good chance of bagging all 3 points

Re: Exeter City Match Thread
I have to say it was a poor match all round. we should have made substitutions earlier. I noticed after Billy took a knock in the first half he seemed to just fade out of the game. O'sullivan went missing a lot in the second half and the two defenders were all over the place and nobody seemed to have any confidence in the keeper. I know it takes time to gel but we need to speed up the process. Billy was made man of the match but today it should have been Hughes. We should be playing much better than we did today. Exeter were not the best team today but they took the chances we gifted them. Roll on the Burnley Game maybe a better opposition will lift our game.

Re: Exeter City Match Thread
Have to say, fair play to the Exeter fans applauding Davies when he equalised.:)

Re: Exeter City Match Thread
Didn't see that coming.
Thought conditions would have suited us and we would have steamrollered them. Have to apologise for my weakness in accepting Burnley's hospitality!!!! Food and beer was excellent, football was poor:) |
Re: Exeter City Match Thread
I hope Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles enjoyed the game today especially after they got to choose the MOM!

Re: Exeter City Match Thread
Disappointing result, but not that suprising as win-less runs have to come to an end. However, it sounds as if the team's performance was even more disappointing! Really surprised that Professor Coleman is having to demand passion from the players this early in the season. Sincerely hope the minds of some players were not on their impending TV appearance, rather than the match today.
Maybe there'll be a few more changes for the game against Burnley, if only to see what other options could offer? |
