Given that Morecambe only seem to get their players from Stanley, your new owners (have they and their caravan arrived yet?) will no doubt be making an offer soon enough.

Did you think you're lot did?? Up until the sending off which was orchestrated by your player, Stockton was it?, there was only gonna be one winner yesterday - ok, Hughes was daft enough to let himself be drawn in but if you take your shrimp coloured specs off you'd have to agree that it was a 6 of 1 & half a dozen of the other tussle but the ref (who I hope didn't miss the bus back to Morecambe) got it wrong, it should only have been a booking. Add to that a blatant hand ball in the lead up to Ellison's goal - completely missed by the officials & a stone wall penalty claim which the man in the middle refused to acknowledge & the match was turned into a pantomime.
Not sour grapes, just plain facts - one of the national papers called your gaffer Lucky Jim - couldn't have put it better myself

I thought we played poor compared to earlier matches but won so we take that and move on. 3 of our best players , Murphy , Winnard and Wildig have yet to kick a ball in anger this season so we will see how things work out.

if that's the case, you should have a very good season.

The ref's decision was spot on with the laws of the game.

He fouled (almost more like violent conduct !) a player on the edge of the D thus preventing a goal scoring opportunity.

Is he appealing against it ? If he does there will be a definitive answer.

Why is this helmet still on here?

Any football fan worth their salt knows it was a foul on Hughes before the foul was committed the other way.

I know you lot enjoy your occasional bout of civilisation around the time of your cup final but it's a bit sad now.

that is the one positive from the game. in our previous league games we didn,t really create much and had 3 top notch finishers against doncaster and exeter was a non event. would love to see billy playing off some big lad upfront to take the pressure off him and its showns once again that shay is a super sub type and not one to start a game. knowing stanley we,ll probebly get a win at carlisle with top defending and nicking a goal.

Wasn't it Symes and Billy that had a great partnership a few seasons ago?

Maybe same with Terry and Billy?

Gornell should be back Saturday - Clark will be fit again and probably Eagles. Brown prob needs another week but not far from the Manager having selection options.

That's all we need. He's not going to make any difference.
