2 years of freedom
2 years to the day since Mr.Be*ttie left us in 'interesting circumstances.
As one of the few fans who recognised his brand of kick and rush football and overall management was hurting us, I'm pleased to say his departure helped create the opportunity for the new dawn of Coleman and Bell. Please have a toast to 2 years of James beattie free football |
Re: 2 years of freedom
Is this the sort of 'anniversary' you have popping up on your calendar?
Move on, Davo. |
Re: 2 years of freedom
Heard The Crown Pub is already rammed with people celebrating!!
Party on till late! Dress Code - Smartest suit you own! It's what James would have wanted! |
Re: 2 years of freedom
Pathetic attempt at resurrecting an old, very tired subject which the person who campaigned the most against James Beattie can't seem to drop - obsessed or what??
|
Re: 2 years of freedom
Baldy has always been pathetic also,

Re: 2 years of freedom
Pointless thread.

Re: 2 years of freedom
What a ignorant post, how sick can some people be.

Because you don't agree with something, you attack it.
As a fan group we should be showing each others opinions respect and tolerance. Happy to debate the merits / problems with the James beattie era |
Re: 2 years of freedom
I can't debate it, but I am interested to hear what it was like.
I may just trawl back through the archives to work it out as I suspect opinions may vary? |
Re: 2 years of freedom
Good idea Didsbury
You will read page after page of 'fan' justifying the aimless long ball football |

And you're the one always whining about the "haters". You're a hypocrite, Davo.

Re: 2 years of freedom
Oh well, a very interesting hour reading about the end of Beattie and then views on the return of Coleman. I always thought JC would have had unquestioning loyalty, but what do I know.
I also chanced on a long thread about rum goings on at a Newcastle match. I was very shocked to read it, and more than a little outraged to be honest. My knowledge of Stanley's past is mainly my Dad's tales of Tommy McQueen and Les Cocker (plus that Whalley book I got for Xmas) but this is real history, |
Re: 2 years of freedom
Opinions eh!...Some people only want to listen to someone's opinions of it matches their own!
Sean McConville had a 57 page thread about him, but I never attacked anyone because normal people respect opinions! "but guess yer too thick to understand tha" |
Re: 2 years of freedom
Sean Mac is still at stanley, J.B. been gone two years, so who's Stupid? not knowing the difference.

Two years,how time flies !!!
Better concentrating on the great job JCs done in that period. Still amases me how he sticks to his footballing principles, even when things ain't going for us. |
Re: 2 years of freedom
Here's a question for you.
I did read that JC was being criticised for long ball football back in 2014 as he was being touted to return (although that wasn't a view shared by all). Has he adapted the style of play since he's been back? |
Re: 2 years of freedom
As I suggested, a likely bit of retro nonsense to hopefully find it's way into Mr.T's Dustbin ?.
Sorry Dav, I'm all for placing immense value in the history of our Club, but the present and future of Accrington Stanley is far more important and interesting than the dismal failings that took place in the Beattie era !. Just my opinion, which as you rightly say, we are all at freedom to outline on our Forum !. |
