Stanley Draw, Kiwi Soars
A 1-1 draw has 5 points for Kiwi John written all over it , and so it proved yesterday, taking our flightless antipodean :D soaring to the top of the table from his previous 5th place. 3 points for right result, wrong score, were enough to give Red-Osbornello a greater lift :), but only from 25th= to 18th=. Nobody else got anything right :(, apart from putting a 1 somewhere in their prediction - mostly for Cheltenham - to sneak a BP . I won't mention Stevie R being the only person  to vote against us this week. Mab was the only one of last week's top 4 to get a point , which was enough for him to make 3rd and push Accybeme and Div3N down to 4th and 5th, but AccyMad hangs on to 2nd, just a point behind Kiwi. Leylandii's point takes him into 8th, now ahead of Cashman who is now one of a group of 4 at 9th=, which means there are still 12 in the Top Ten , the same 12 as before. AccyMad's recognition of Kiwi as psychic for his refereeing prediction has, I note, been fiercely contested on another thread, and I am therefore refraining from awarding another bonus point for this - not that I would have anyway :D. So - roll on Blackpool at the Crown - not a fixture I would have expected to see on the list back when we got back in the league, or when we dropped out in '62 come to that (yes thank you I know that wouldn't have been at the Crown then). Our last home win was against another ex-Prem side, so that must be a good sign, mustn't it? Please? On Stanley On!! |
