Not only in the team but he had a hand, or at least a foot, in each of the 'Gers goals. There are highlights on the BBC football page under Scottish football, etc, etc.

Re: Josh Windass

Josh looks really good in patches but can be a bit inconsistent with his decision making sometimes. He is playing in a 3 man midfield but tends to drift forward leaving the midfield a bit short but then he is more a forward than midfielder. I think he can be a really good player if he continues to develop.

Matt has only had a couple of sub appearances in the first team but not looked too spectacular which is to be expected given the length of time he has been out. Word is he hasn't been spectacular in the under 20s but match fitness will be a problem anyway. The fans have high hopes for him so it could get dodgy if he doesn't live up to expectations.

I think both can become good uns at that level, Joss if he becomes more consistent, Matty if his health holds up.

Re: Josh Windass

Deeayess,if you remember when he first come to Acci he was tried in centre mid, then right/left wing, but once he settled in behind the front man and didn't have to track runners his career really took off.
You don't realise how quick he is and fantastic technical ability.
Going against my principles,I would build a team around him,I rate him that highly.
Don't over coach him, just let him do his stuff !!!

I would like to think so as they are good guys but playing at clubs like Rangers and Celtic carries a lot of pressure to succeed. More so Rangers just now given the way they are struggling this season.

The game last Wednesday against St Johnstone was awful and the team were booed off at the end by some fans and the manager was getting dogs abuse online by some fans.

Its a bit like the Newport game on a far bigger scale I would think :D

I agree but Mark Warburton doesn't seem to agree with us. The game can be a lot more physical up here and can also be faster paced but less skillful.

Crooksy needs to come to us on loan in Jan, get back his fitness and confidence.... :)

:) :) :)

Again I would agree but then I'm biased :) . There is a lot of pressure on him to do well from the fans so if he plays and doesn't perform well it won't do his confidence any good.

Hopefully Rangers have forgotten all the things they were called when they signed him :D

I fully expect Crooks to be the player who goes on to play in the English premier league.

Crooks looked like a class act to me, far too good for Div 2. but he reminded me of John Sheridan. Sheridan was the best player I ever saw outside the top division. But he lacked the speed and presence against better players.

What's your thoughts on Beckles and Matty P? Beckles looks like he could, given time, play at any level. Matty P possibly.

Two of our most consistently good players.
Matty Pearson is the rock on which our defence is built & Omar is one of the best signings Coley has pulled off IMHO.

what makes it better is that other clubs were after both players and we beat them to sign them. shows it can be done.

I went to the West Ham v Stanley match and Beckles would have looked comfortable wearing the strip of a Premier club IMHO.
Omar has soooooh... much potential. We should sign him up for three years and then we either benefit from having a top player for three years or in getting a top transfer fee!:alright:

I think Beccles is a thinking player with great skill but he lacks the build of a leage two defender, He will play much better at a higher level, Matty Pearson is a warrior player you would want in any defence. He is Fearless but that comes at a cost. I have noticed he takes throws and thinks a couple of seconds after he has sent the ball. He is a little hot headed at times. If he could just think a little quicker than he acts sometimes he would be at least a championship player easy, Premier not sure, we need to appreciate this type of player while we have them. There are a few other players that could easily play at a higher levels at Stanley some are not getting a look in. I wonder why we have an academy as any player coming through never seem to get a game with the first team before being moved on. What is that all about.

Windass got good reviews last week (he was subbed on 75 mins for Crooks).
This is his pass for the Rangers goal that won him a lot of praise.

Didn't look that great but he is a fans favourite. Not his fault because he isn't a midfielder. The fans are not happy about the performance today and some are crying for the managers head. Think Newport on a far bigger scale.

Duncan, it could be worse for Gers' fans, you could have Newport's manager instead.

Unfortunately it doesn't work like that. If he found a way to win games, especially against celtic, he would be the messiah.

There is no bigger picture nor time to getting right up here.

Rightly or wrongly doing better than the previous season counts for nothing.

When you see the quality of player that left the club last season. It does go a long way to explaining why we are struggling this season.

£500,000 bid from PNE turned down

rumour has it PNE are not the only team interested and Rangers wont be interested in any fee under £1 million

I watched the Old Firm match. He didn't do much wrong in a very good Rangers team performance but didn't really make a big impact. Tired towards the end.

Just shows how the market can turn in a matter of weeks.
Josh is clearly liking working with Murty.
His form's returned. 8 weeks ago they'd have been dropping him off at Bramall Lane for £500k now he's worth £3 mill..........
