FA Cup Round 2
Who's it going to be?
 |
Re: FA Cup Round 2
just be happy with a home tie me,
|
Re: FA Cup Round 2
Westfields would be nice
|
Re: FA Cup Round 2
Barrow, Alfreton, Westfields or Curzon Ashton!
Can't beat a non league ground! |
Re: FA Cup Round 2
We are ball number 27 in tonight's draw.
:D:D:D |
Re: FA Cup Round 2
Would love an away day in Macclesfield :)
|
Re: FA Cup Round 2
Home tie against sheffied United
|
Re: FA Cup Round 2
Millwall away please
|
Re: FA Cup Round 2
Knowing our luck we will once again get Tranmere even though they are not even in the draw. :D
Any non-league away would be nice. Failing that a home tie. :) |
Re: FA Cup Round 2
I've already told you it's sheff utd away! Why start a new thread about it?
Tsk. These new peers. |
Re: FA Cup Round 2
Easiest tie possible please.
Get through this one then United at home in the 3rd to make up for Crooksy's misses a couple of years ago. |

I'll have you know that according to Debretts, the lordship of Rusting Manor (Old Accrington) has precedence over Didsbury - or is it Levenshulme? Our title goes back to Marmaduke Stiffupperlip, who opened the first tripe stall on Accrington market. He also laid on a free meal of pig's trotter to th'owd reds before each home game. These delicacies don't come cheap! Anyway, the only 'blades' I want to see are rapiers at dawn! :jimbo: |
Re: FA Cup Round 2
I've assumed the title Lord Didsbury for 18 years now. I regularly run races under it too.
That's proper pedigree that is, Stiffupperlip. |
Re: FA Cup Round 2
Ha! The only race you've ever run is the one to catch last orders at the Fletcher Moss!
As for pedigree, me Grandads been supplying tripe to Pedigree Chum for years. :D |
Re: FA Cup Round 2
Woking it is then
|
Re: FA Cup Round 2
would be that far, great chance to progress though.
|
Re: FA Cup Round 2
Just down the road for some of us, and somewhere that should bring back happy memories. Not easy, though.
|
Re: FA Cup Round 2
Well I wanted a non league away day but it's a bit of a trek - still, a decade after that memorable day - is it a sign??
Ash - book me on :p |
Re: FA Cup Round 2
great chance of getting to round 3, not saying it'll be easy but the draw could have been a lot worse, anyway the £27000 would come in handy
|
Re: FA Cup Round 2
That'll do me :).... it's in easy range, and it was my first band-waggon jumping game in the promotion season :):). Hope it's on Sunday though, so I can get my hockey game in on Saturday as well .

Somebody's got to come in at 6.00am to light the tripe boiler. |
Re: FA Cup Round 2
Bolton v Sheff will presumably be on't telly, but after that there's a small chance?
Huge match for Woking. Massive. I'm told from a Stockport fan they are shocking in defence. We'll take em out easily. |
Re: FA Cup Round 2
"We went to Woking we won the league"......(The Conference!)
"We went to Woking we won the league"......:alright: "We're going to Woking we'll win the cup"..... "We're going to Woking we'll win the cup".....:coffeecup It will be nice to go back ten years on from a Truly memorable day in 2006 when we won The Conference! I hope that the club invite the former players from the 2005/2006 season to the match and bring them on to the pitch at half time. They would get a wonderful reception!:jimbo::worthy::worthy::worthy::worthy: ON STANLEY ON:theband: 2006 ...2016 THE STORY CONTINUES AND HISTORY IS CREATED:alright: Of course some of the lads are still playing! |
Re: FA Cup Round 2
Away again......and although it's a very "winnable" tie......it will be a tough tie.
We've got to guard against complacency, respect the opposition and not count any chickens......otherwise our heroics at Bradford on Saturday will count for nothing.:o |
Re: FA Cup Round 2
We mustn't get complacent
|
Re: FA Cup Round 2
Looks very tricky - but the Woking chairman won't be best please either for 2 reasons.

was told the same. they,d a couple who were lucky to stay on the pitch. going forward they were quick on the break but were flattered by a 4-2 victory. 4 shots and all went in. that was their first away victory of the season so their home form can,t be too bad. was in hope of an away game at bolton or sheffield utd. as we seem to do better as underdogs and when we are expected to win something always goes pear shaped. exeter and newport this season for a start. not too positive about the game. |

Our TV masters require a Friday night game; wouldn't be surprised if Stanley's tie is chosen. Nice and easy for the cosmopolitan pundits to get to. |

Sorry, I forgot! The last thing TV companies think about are the actual fans. |
Re: FA Cup Round 2
I read that last Sunday's First Round teams were paid £12,500 each for the goals to be shown on 'Final Score'. Not as much as the £72K or so that we'd get for full coverage but not to be sneezed at.
|
Re: FA Cup Round 2
Selfishly praying for some TV Exec to get off his face and accidentally put this on tele. Friday or Sunday would be ideal as can't make the Saturday. :)
