Bastien Hery
what has happened to him?
A Carlisle supporting friend is baffled why he hasn't had a look in so far at Stanley |
Re: Bastien Hery

Re: Bastien Hery
please, lets focus on the question which started this thread
it was acknowledged Hery had a reputation for being awkward and hot tempered, if this is the reason (and I dont know) for him possibly falling out with the club staff or his team mates, then surely we knew this before he signed? he was a decent player at league 2 level, its a shame we are paying his wages but not benefiting from his abilities |
Re: Bastien Hery
I get the impression (rightly or wrongly)he is a bit of hard work but as a creative player is he worth a place on the bench if Plan A isn't working?

for once i can completely agree with you dav. anything is worth a try at the moment as our mid field has been pretty poor in league games this season and some seem a fixture in the side and not just sean. |
Re: Bastien Hery
According to the Fishy, he played today against Southport!

Re: Bastien Hery
I think I may have twigged the problem with M.Hery and why he's not getting a game with Stanley....he can score goals with his LEFT foot!

Re: Bastien Hery
Baffled why he wasn't on the bench today - and so was the lad himself.
Can't see him staying beyond the transfer window. |
Re: Bastien Hery
be a real shame if he never gets the opportunity of a league start in a stanley shirt
|
Re: Bastien Hery
Congratulations on securing a new club. Never got a chance here. New life in Ireland.

Re: Bastien Hery
I don't see how anyone could form an opinion on the lad when he only played twice, once in a pre season friendly?
Wish the lad the best & all that but in the game I saw at Halifax he was largely absent tbh - just didn't get involved |
Re: Bastien Hery
Well an opinion was formed he was worth signing ........
|
Re: Bastien Hery
Absolutely, but no-one except the coaching staff knows what happens in training once the ink is dry on the paper
|
Re: Bastien Hery
The reason was given as over weight and not fit enough.

Re: Bastien Hery
I know. Some players fit - others don't. Would have understood if he got a chance and didn't perform. However to sign a player then have to pay him to go ........ don't get it.

Re: Bastien Hery
Hang on a minute Chris, 'last season we would have played them off the party & won easily'
Erm, maybe we could have but we didn't, fact is last season it was exactly the same score as yesterday in the home game & they beat us at Brunton Park 2 nil, so don't really get your point  |

Re: Bastien Hery
'are we happy to be just a league 2 also ran club?'
Yes. Over the moon. Anything but relegation please. Chris I think you need to recalibrate your expectations slightly. correct me if I'm wrong but you seem to be suggesting we missed an opportunity to go for the win on Saturday. We were playing a very good league two team with 10 men. Last year they played us off our park with 10 men for most of the game. We have struggled over the last couple of seasons with Carlisle's physical approach. They bossed us home and away last season. In fact they smashed us away- with Crooksy in our team- we were never in that game. On Saturday we rode the double hammer blows of the deserved red card and an unfortunately conceded goal to stand tall and go toe to toe with them. They pushed us back in the second half (as 11 v 10 you'd expect) but the lads fought like dogs to keep in the game and looked sharp on the breakaways. Criticism is OK and I have said Coley should change it around too. But I don't think you can moan about Saturdays line up, commitment or tactics. Chapeau Mr Coleman. |
