I was at Accrington Grammar School with a Geoff Heap. He worked in a bank and would be 75yrs old - is this the same chap ? I thought he lived in Haslingden.

Sadly Bob no, our Geoff was in his 80's I believe. RIP Sir, it was an honour to have known and worked with you at Stanley. Condolences to his family and all the Stanley family.

Sorry we couldn't be at the funeral but we'll make sure your cushion is out, there's sweets on the bar and there's half a cup of tea waiting for you on Saturday.

JC and JB plus the entire squad were at the All Saints Church this afternoon.

On a very sad day the Club have reached out to a mourning family with dignity.
