To be honest i dont really expect us to win, all i require is the same effort the lads put in against Carlisle, owt else will be a massive bonus.if we do that it will be well worth the journey, like West Ham was.:)

ASFC and Plastic Box are owned by 0404 Investments which is the company Andy Holt runs all his businesses through. Also in the group are What More and Readstone Construction. |
Re: Middlesbrough FA Cup 4th rd Match Thread
I can't be at the match but I will be rooting for the team. I think we can nick it. cool heads and the spirit we showed last week would do it.

If ever Stanley needed a reason to raise their game [but they shouldn't] it's being compared with strays from a dogs home. Let's hope they have lots of bite this afternoon.

The quote appears to be from Dan Jewell, not the paper itself (on account of the fact that most on-line papers don't employ journalists but simply trawl the Internet for quotes).
It's a pretty good comparison, IMHO. The Battersea Dogs Home takes in waifs and strays, of any size, breed or age, and rehouses them. It's also an old, nationally well know, underfunded, but much loved organisation. Just like Stanley. |
