ASFC 1 Grimsby Town 2. Hope not though, would spoil the good run, will happily get nul points for a Stanley win.

It's All Down To Countback At The Top

Confidence  still the principal driver of forecasting against the Mariners, with 23 expecting us to produce another win :), only 3 sitting on the fence  and 2 reverse psychologists going the other way :(. So this time the fence-sitters were rewarded, in particular LongLostSon who took the only maxi to move up from 33rd to 30th. The 3 points went to JimsLad (20th to 19th) and Winstanley asfc (stationary in 26th). For the rest of you who managed to enter (I forgot after the excitement of processing 4 games in one go on Friday :o) it was a matter of one point or nothing. Kiwi John got one point and AccyMad got nothing, so the gap at the top disappeared and Kiwi scrambled onto the top step of the podium on countback (7 wins (maxis) against 6). The only other change in the Top Ten arose from NigeB going pointless and dropping from 8th to 11th, with Ossy Kid and Dave in Germany moving up to 8th and 9th and Tommy McQueen taking 10th.

That’s it really. So roll on Cambridge, complete with Brad and Piero. Let’s give ‘em a big welcome home ;) then send ‘em away with nothing :D.

On Stanley On!!
