Stewards under fire after Accrington Stanley coach ambush (From Lancashire Telegraph) |
Re: Lincoln city
Yeah, I was on that bus - not a very nice experience at all & they'd won! God knows what they'd have done if we'd taken the points
|
Re: Lincoln city
they had form for being awful stewards in previous seasons.
didnt help that they dressed and acted like bouncers. |
Re: Lincoln city
win, loose or draw it certainly ain,t the friendliest place to go too. in the 60,s and 70,s it used to be a good day out but somehow things have changed there.

Re: Lincoln city
Looks like it will be forest green that come up with tranmere, take your packed lunches chaps they don't sell meat

Re: Lincoln city
Congrats to Forest Green on gaining promotion to league 2.
After watching their 3-1 demolition of favourites Tranmere at Wembley, I think they'll prove to be capable opponents. As for Lincoln, after their amazing FA cup heroics against the big-boys, they may easily go straight up into league 1. |
Re: Lincoln city
Good luck to them with the leagues financial rules, they're gonna struggle, lost 10million This season and spent 200k on agent fees, must be good to buy wins
|
Re: Lincoln city
Their budget in the National League was reported to be similar to Portsmouth, plus the amounts they pat to Intermediaries was huge.
Guess they'll have to "put in" a fortune as "sponsorship" to meet the EFL SCMP regulations which drop by 5% next season. I suspect they'll struggle inspite of what their owner says. Be interesting how many FGR fans were in the 18k at Wembley today. |

He that is without sin among you, let him cast the first stone at her.
Where Stanley's promotions not given helped by investment also? |

Re: Lincoln city
owner thinks it,ll be easier to get promoted again next season as 4 go up instead of the conference two. hope we and other sides bring him down to earth quickly. how can you run a club when you don,t sell meat pukka pies.

I can't say I will be rushing to Lincoln or Forest Green next season either !
I was also on the coach that night, not a nice experience. |
Re: Lincoln city
Nailsworth only has a population of around 6,000; how are they going to support a Football League club? Looks like we might have competition for the lowest attendances!

With a population of only 5,800, there may be egg on some faces if they end up with higher gates than us!

Looks impressive!
It's obviously designed to double as a giant lifeboat for the population of Nailsworth - should the deluge arrive. Winning design chosen for new Forest Green Rovers ground - BBC News |
Re: Lincoln city
it does look impressive, but is it sensible or even allowed?

Re: Lincoln city
Disappointment for Chorley but well done to Halifax for winning the Play Off final to get promoted to the Conference/National League. Nearly 8,000 watched the match at The Shay!:)
