Vote has taken place as to whether clubs want the current format to stay, currently the only news released is that Notts county have voted for it against the wishes of the fans

So far more have come out in favour of this seasons format but only around 10 clubs have announced hoe they voted

EFL Trophy in the present format devalues the competition as far as I'm concern, I think fans will vote with their feet no matter what the clubs decide

It's an awful competition, as bad as the local county FA trophy.

Get rid of it, total waste of time

BREAKING: A good source has just informed us EFL clubs have received an embargoed press release, stating EFL Trophy format will be retained.

AH piece in Times today implied EFL clubs were 'warned' last season that PL would withdraw its payments if they didn't vote to accept the new format for the Chuckatrade Trophy.
Then all but Chelsea, if I recall right, of the big boys declined to take part.

So the clubs sold out its beliefs for afew extra quid, hope the rewards for winning games is bigger than the losses made by low crowds
