Against the grain . . .
. . . . .but will be routing for Exeter this afternoon, nothing against Blackpool - would just prefer they stay in league 2 so we can have another cracking away day/weekend next season - purely selfish I know but come on you Grecians!!:)
P.s. Darren England is the ref so anything could happen, you'd think they'd have a decent one for the final  |
Re: Against the grain . . .
Agree totally, AccyMad, even though Exeter is one of the closest (!) games for me.
But the Grecians are already one goal down. |
Re: Against the grain . . .
Captain Aldred has been subbed. Took a knock on the bonce earlier but eventually had to go off.

Re: Against the grain . . .
Equaliser for Execkerter!

Re: Against the grain . . .
Poor Tom, not the way to spend your big day at Wembley -.still chuffed Exeter have equalised though :)

Re: Against the grain . . .
Damn it!! :(

Re: Against the grain . . .
On the plus side, its more money for Stanley going into the non parachute payment pot ;)
|
Re: Against the grain . . .
I'm guessing here, Macca, but does that mean the 'parachute payment' that would have gone to Blackpool for being relegated last season is now divvied up between the rest of League 2?

Edit It appears that there are now parachute payments in the EFL but only for a year and they are pitiful so makes no difference. Unless it changed again http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/34738830 |
Re: Against the grain . . .
Anyone hear Tom's faux pas after the game - bless, you can take the lad out of Bolton but . . . :D

Re: Against the grain . . .

Re: Against the grain . . .
Its easy to understand as far as i'm concerned,
|
Re: Against the grain . . .
Yeah, I understand for their home games as they don't want to line Oyston's pockets but if it was us don't think I'd be able to resist seeing us play at Wembley

Re: Against the grain . . .
Newcastle would have banked 55% of the equal share given to all PL clubs last season, that equates to around £21m
Next season they give up their 45% share - £17m The system for dishing it was that Championship clubs shared 80%, L1 shared 12% and L2 shared 8% ... our share would be around £60k I just assumed it was the same throughout the leagues but obviously to a lower degree |
