Stanley legend Romuald Boco

I know its on other threads but I think Romy should have a thread of his very own, a true Stanley legend in every way :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIu-c3A7RAk

Sad to see him leave. Can only wish him all the best.

Couldn't agree more Mab, shame the club can't find him a bit of space on the website to announce this & thank him for his service.
Best of luck Rommy, gutted to see you leave & hope it works out at Orient - but if not you'll always be welcome back home at the Crown ground

Gutted. Still think he was our best non-defensive player last year.

His role in the victory at Bradford being my fondest memory.

Re: Stanley legend Romuald Boco

Fair play to the lad, a 2 yrs deal at 32 is not to be sniffed at, he will probably get more game time also down yon, good luck i say.

Re: Stanley legend Romuald Boco

Already paid my tribute on the 'Signings' thread, but I too find it hard to believe that such a loyal servant of our club doesn't rate a mention on the fishy site.
I hope the Clayton End will show the club how much we appreciate & respect the man at tomorrows game by singing in unison;
'One Rommy Boco!'
'There's only one Rommy Boco!'

No mention of him going for a fee on Orient site

In the main orient fans seem well pleased with the signing.

According to bbc sport we released Rommy, no need for a fee as he would've been a free agent

And so it should be!
Any talk of 'a fee' only demeans what is supposed to be a tribute page.
Rommy is a great player, albeit in the twilight of his career, who deserves to spend what remains of it playing football, not warming the bench.
I will never forget how sad I felt for those Orient fans who travelled to support their team in what was a lost cause last season, only to suffer total humiliation at the Wham.
I hope Rommy was our gift to a great club who have fallen on hard times.
I'm sure he will become a firm favourite with the Orient fans & help them achieve success on their long road to recovery.
Rommy played no.14, why not give him a round of applause in the 14th minute today!

Wad just answering sto6nc's post, no need to extoll Rommy's virtues to me - you're preaching to the converted, was gutted when I heard the news yesterday & don't feel any better about it this morning - just hope Orient's problems have been sorted & they treat him right

Sad to see Rommy go a real goal threat on the pitch but don,t think he fit in Coley,s plans for this season shame but best of luck to him.

Rommy is loved by the Stanley Faithful and he took great delight in returning the love with his hands shaped in the form of a Love Heart!

Can only say a MASSIVE THANK YOU to Rommy for his commitment, his important goals and for the entertainment given to us in his play over the years.

GOOD LUCK Rommy in your new venture at Leyton Orient

AccyMad, please accept my apologies if my earlier post caused you offence.
I can assure you there was none intended. In fact I have 'Liked' your earlier posts.
My 'So it should be!' comment was intended as agreement with you about why Rommy has been released without any fee.
My criticism was aimed at post #10, whose only concern on a tribute page to Rommy was -'Did we get anything for him?'

Spot on, your Lordship. That's all that 'follower' seems to be interested in.

Well why did we offer him a new contract if we're just gonna let him go for free, might aswell of just released him at end of season

Haven't posted for a while, but felt that I should add a brief tribute to Rommy.
Over the years I have watched and met many players at our Club, some have impressed with their skills, others with their personality, but Rommy stands out for the 100% effort which he always committed to the team whenever he walked on the pitch, and for the 90 minutes following his entry.... a quality not offer seen in today's Soccer player !.

So it was a privilege to watch him play, and to watch him develop from the shy young lad who didn't know many words of English into the man I found it easy to admire !.

I wish him well, at the Orient and anywhere else his life takes him !.

On Rommy ,On to greater things !.
