He always gave his all for Stanley and was a true warrior!

Always destined for a higher level, just a pity it was not with us :(

Really sorry not to have the pleasure of another season watching 'Man Mountain' but he's worked his socks off for Stanley and deserves to be rewarded. Fare thee well, Matty, and good luck.

Still think the timing of this stinks but was always on the cards - best of luck Matty, always be welcome back here if Barnsley aren't playing, just be careful how soon you show off your dance moves

I am just so disappointed it has happened so late, I was hoping we would benefit from his skill for another season. I seriously believe that our promotion chances are severely damaged with the loss of Matty. I wish him well and knew he would move on to better things. I do hope the money they got was worth the risk to our promotion chances. Gutted.

Whilst i thought Matty was a damn good un, I dont think for 1 min the sale has damaged our promotion hopes, after seeing the 4 games at the Wham not a chance of that imho.

think everyone has really said it all. matty was one player we had that i,ve never heard a bad word said about him and for stanley fans that,s something special. good luck matty at barnsley but i don,t think you,ll need luck with your attitude. thanks for the many memories.

Best of luck to Matty. Hope he's as well appreciated at Barnsley as he is at Stanley. Whilst we've always lost our better players eventually, at least, by the sound of it we're getting decent money for them now.
PS Can we postpone the team photo until September next year ? This is the second year running we've lost a player immediately after the pic was taken :rolleyes:
